I know there has been a lot of doom and gloom posts in recent times, many of these posts are well deserved. Although I still am not a fan of the athletic director, I believe this program has hit a turning point.
Nowhere to go but up right? But seriously, I hope all the fans are starting to notice some very positive trends as I have.
#1. The growth of PBS as a head coach. No doubt, he is improving as a head coach. Not just year to year, but the growth this season is apparent . Look at the end of the Western Michigan game vs the end of Oakland, and the difference in strategies, and therefore different results. #2. The local talent sticking around. Not just what we have in the works incoming, but getting top talent like Tejon to return when he certainly had other options. Vin Baker next year, who I consider a local. #3. The results. Back to this. We went from a bottom dweller to competing this year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up with a top 3 conference finish this year, as we continue to see improvement. I would guess with what we have incoming that we will have a great chance to compete for a league title the next two years at least.
I have been a bit of a Debbie downer in the past, but I do see positive signs emerging, and I believe we have lots of reasons to be optimistic. Heck even the Detroit debacle showed a lot of fight.
My two cents

Watch out buppie05!
You may be criticized on here for being positive and optimistic. I have been as recently as a couple of days ago. If you are jumped on for being positive and optimistic, take it as a compliment. There are a lot worse things to be criticized for. And besides, this is an internet message board. They generally tend to be a sounding board for the skeptical and frustrated anyway.
Having stated that, your optimism exceeds mine. Top three this year may be a bit much to expect. I have been easy on PBS his first two years (except for some of his post-game comments) because of the difficult circumstances under which he was hired. This is Year 3 now and it is time for results. The verdict on Year 3 is still out.
Either way, we need coaching stability in the program right now. Regardless how the team finishes this season, he should return next year and maybe the year after, at least. He has some promising freshmen, and perhaps could land PBJ for a season or two ("so you're telling me there's a chance").

I just emailed Julius at the ticket office and shared the same sentiments. We need to finish on an upswing and have two great recruiting classes in 2020 and 2021. 2020 looks good so far but a big shot blocker rebounder type is needed for program to move forward. A transfer like Terrance Lewis from Riverside and currently sitting at Iowa State would be amazing. Just fantasizing but something like that could happen. The kid at Sheboygan Lutheran would have been a great fit but he is headed to Valpo. The more local kids on board the better to put fans in the seats. Brown and Wilbourn will be here for four years hopefully. If Brown brings in his brother Pat Baldwin Jr just may be here too. The top players in Wisconsin and Minnesota. A pipe dream I know but we need players to draw fans. Just dreaming but good players are out there. Look what Jordan is doing at Butler.

I would say to season ticket holders, use your ticket discount and bring your co-workers or friends. I brought 5 extra on Saturday. $35 seats, I get for $15. The $25 seats, I believe you can get them for $10.

Depending what happens Friday with Wright St and NKU, we may have a chance to take a share of 2nd place in the conference Saturday @ Cleveland St. That should be a winnable game with our recent success on the rd.
