Nothing really is a must win until the HL Tournament. Yet, building W's is important.

I guess that I'm always thinking in terms of the program: perception, buzz, media attention, momentum, etc.

Detroit's 3-15?!?! Must-win?! I'm with Pounce on this one. Must-win is only when a win is required to keep a season going. If they do not win, then what, we all go into the "done club"? This game, and all games, are important in context of overall season success. The HL looks to be topsy turvey, so anything could happen against Detroit, or any remaining opponent.

3-15. Win this game at home. Don't let Antoine Davis go off. That's all.

Nothing really is a must win until the HL Tournament. Yet, building W's is important. Winning games you should win is a "must" when you reside in a conference run by a lunatic who decides the best way to improve its conference tournament is to eliminate the bottom 2 teams because they happen to win games in said tournament, and you can"t have that! So, you can't say "there's no must win games until the HL Tourney," because you MUST win enough games to MAKE the damn thing, and when you have a 3-15 team coming in you damn well better take care of business! End of rant.

End of rant. I believe they changed the format back to having all 10 teams in the conference tournament this year. Having said that, there are benefits to finishing higher: 1 or 2: Double Bye into semi-finals 3 or 4: At least two home games (if the first game is won) 5 or 6: At least one home game 7-10: Likely no home games

It was advertised on the last ESPN3 broadcast I watched that "Only the Top 8 teams" make it across the ribbon board in front of the scorer's table. It would be great if you were correct, DTP, but LeCrone doesn't correct mistakes. He doubles down on them.

I’m guessing they just didn’t add new advertisements for the ribbon board this year? Or maybe it just wasn’t update.

Now if he'd only trash the stupid "neutral site" and "forcing the women's tournament down people's throats" ideas, we'd really have something!

Maybe they're promoting it as only the top four MEN'S teams and the top four WOMEN'S teams (aka, "The top 8 teams") advance to Indy?
