Well we couldn't make a layup to save our lives tonight, surprisingly we did well at the line

Given how disappointing our front court has been lately (see: all year), I have to wonder why Bobby Arthur Williams isn’t getting any minutes. He played a lot last year, but is now way back on the bench this year. Would it hurt to give him a few minutes at this point?

I feel like it was the right call. He had a clear path to the basket and Lucas fouled him from behind with no realistic chance to get the ball. In retrospect, it was a poor decision to foul there and we should have let them just make the layup or throw the ball back out, but given the moment in the game, I can’t blame him for fouling there. Remember it wasn't a flagrant foul. It looked like Lucas reached with his right arm to the right side of the EIU player. Teams always foul being down late. Just weird the refs had to go to the monitor to make that call.

I should have noticed that too.

It's a pity that Tyler Behrendt has been typecast. At this stage, I believe that he's one of our five or six best players regardless of position. Yet he basically gets subbed into games in order to take fouls. Going big against EIU wasn't the answer tonight; playing four out and one in was. This regime has much to learn.

It seems like good things happen when Tyler Behrendt is on the floor.

"They showed us a will to win that we didn't have tonight and we gave some effort that was too late," Baldwin said. "They just took it to us from the very beginning and we just couldn't recover." "It's just disappointing how we came out and played," "Had no fight, didn't compete as hard as I thought that we would, coming back home – having not been here for a few weeks – it's just disappointing. We have to get off the canvas and get back to work." www.jsonline.com/story/sports/college/uwm/2019/12/14/panthers-shoot-season-low-30-4-field/4416641002/

So much of this is simply knowing whom to play and when.

Difficult to watch this team at times. They are way to easy to defend if the bigs can’t finish or at times even catch the ball. They have only one outside shooter in Roy but he is even streaky. You double up on Lucas and Thomas and after that it is a crap shoot. If they dish to a big it is volleyball time or an errant three. To compete at this level Baldwin needs to recruit more athletic players. Our bigs are terribly clumsy and slow. We need guys who can post up and shoot a hook off the board without bouncing the ball. I miss Prahl too cause he played within himself. I give these guys credit for coming back after a terrible first ten minutes. This game was ours to win. Give EIU credit they took it to us. We were out coached and outplayed.

Outcoached and overmatched athletically.
I actually observed that the hustle and effort were there. Our hearts were in the right place, but our talent was not.

About 750. There were several children's groups on hand.

It would be nice to see more fans. Where are the students? Same old story. Feel bad about calling are bigs “clumsy” but it is the weakest part of the team. They hustle and try to make a difference but missing so many shots without going to at least the line continues to baffle me. Tossing up threes isn’t the answer either. We missed Abrams last night for sure. I am interested in knowing what is going on with Madge and Turro. Are they injured? Redshirts? What? They are not getting any better sitting. These players need minutes. Is it this year or next. Or will they transfer and find their niche somewhere else. Revolving coaches and players do not make a winning program.

Abrams, Madge and Turro are all hurt. Turro has a concussion. Abrams got hurt in the Kansas game.
Did UWM miss Abrams, maybe. He is a chucker. We need him to drive.
Very disappointed in Henderson. High major recruit. Looks soft. Doesn't board. Poor footwork.
