George Washington 2-4 Vs Milwaukee 5-2
When:Sunday Time: 1:00pm
Streaming:Flo Sports Radio: Black & Gold Network
LOOKING AT THE COLONIALS George Washington went 9-24 a year ago, including a 4-14 mark in Atlantic 10 conference action. GW returns seven players who made at least one start a season ago, headlined by Arnaldo Toro who nearly averaged a double-double before his season was cut short due to injury after just seven games. The Colonials also welcome eight newcomers to the program this season, including five first-year players and three transfer student-athletes. The team is 1-1 at the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase, falling to Kansas City (74-68) before knocking off Evansville (78-70) Saturday. Five different players average double-figures, led by Toro at 12.3 ppg (he also adds an impressive 12.5 rpg). Maceo Jack (11.7 ppg) and Jamison Battle (11.0 ppg) are close behind. The win over the Purple Aces yesterday snapped what was a three-game losing streak.

It looks like the Panther game may be delayed a bit as the Evansville/Morgan State game is still going on (I believe it’s up to 3 overtime’s now).

Thanks for the update - I was wondering why the pregame broadcast had not started yet.

With just over 3:11 left in the half, we are very lucky to be within 26-19 after being down 12. Actually it's not luck, we have a couple of seriously clutch playmakers/winners keeping us in the game, as usual. And 1-8 from three? Not this again. When you're outmatched in the frontcourt, the three ball is not necessarily your only option

Unreal that this is a 31-26 game at half. As is the story of this season, our frontcourt is at a big disadvantage, but we have the superior backcourt, with our playmakers keeping us in the game.

In particular, Darius Roy seems to take a lot of high arching shots in regular games... I wonder if the lower ceilings makes him feel like he has to make an adjustment on his shot. I’m pretty sure that his shots wouldn’t actually hit the ceiling (I haven’t heard of that happening yet), but the mind can play games on you.

The ceiling is just as low for the opposition and the Panthers were 9-19 from three yesterday.

If it’s an issue, we’ve had 2 1/2 games to make an adjustment. I didn’t realize they were that good from distance yesterday. I know Roy was quiet but Lucas was on fire.

The Lucas injury did not look good. Glad to see him walk off on his own power. Then again, I was glad to see Yelich walk off, and we know how that ended.

Damn, Lucas goes down in a heap while driving to the hoop with about 2:00 left. A bucket there would have made it a 6 (or 5) point game. Had to be helped off the court.
Still an 8pt game with under a minute left. I sure hope Lucas is okay.

The Panthers lost by 3 in a game that wasn’t really that close. Now we have to hope TeJon Lucas isn’t injured too badly.
The Panthers shot under 20% from 3 point land, and that played a huge part in the loss.
