Panthers win by 5. They made it tougher than it had to be, but a win is a win. They will play either Evansville or George Washington tomorrow (looking at how each of those teams is doing this year, I’ll guess Evansville).
"This was the type of game that we knew it would be," head coach Pat Baldwin said. "Tough and physical … and our guys did a great job of handling the pressure and finding a way to win."
"We needed every one of those points and our guys found a way to win and that's what you need to do in a game like this," Baldwin said. "We found a way to win and now it's on to the next game."
"We want our defense to be a catalyst for us and generate some offense," Baldwin said. "While we didn't shoot the ball well, our defense stood tall today."
Ugly progress is still progress. After years of trying to convince a lot of you people to look at a good early record against bad teams as something that's still good, I'm not going to turn my nose up at 5-2 even though the teams are sh*tty.
Be happy with where the team is at. Be happy that Te'Jon Lucas can score buckets. Be happy we're not getting depressed about being 2-5 against a sh*tty schedule instead.
