UWM wins 79-70. 4-1 on the year. Free throws are still a bugaboo though

Two D-1 wins in a row! That’s a winning streak folks!

A pretty solid win. North Dakota had a one point lead for a few seconds in the first half, but for the most part, the Panthers controlled the game and led throughout most of it.

Nice to see a good pocket of students at the game. Now, we need the general public.

The officiating in this game has been objectively terrible. I have a few examples: 2) I think the possession arrow was messed up in the 2nd half. I don’t remember any tie ups until the 2nd half. The Panthers won the top, the Hawks got the ball coming out of the half. With the first tie up in the 2nd half, the Hawks got the ball. I’m not 100% sure this was a miss, but I don’t think I missed a tie up. Just FYI on this ... when they called the Tech on #12 the ball was still bouncing around loose. We took the free throws and they went to the arrow to determine possession (it was given to us). Arrow flipped on the inbounding of the ball.

I vaguely remember that the ball was loose in this situation, but I wasn't aware this is how possession was determined. I think I also saw the possession arrow was backwards in the first half (though the scoreboard had it right), so I figured that the possession arrow was just messed up somehow. Thanks for the information!

Where was the band? That would have helped get SOME energy in the building. We have discussed this before: it should be at EVERY game.

I really like our guards. Bluntly, the three-guard set is the winning look. They deserve at least these two things: 1, more consistent contributions from our bigs and 2, a wider audience.

I checked the video highlights of the women's game for the sole purpose of seeing if the band was there. I did not see it there either. Maybe someone with first hand knowledge could confirm. Regardless, why schedule home games for both teams at the same time? And, shouldn't the band, cheerleaders, dance team, mascot, AD and all key staff be at every men's game?
