I'd really like it if baseball kept its teams within their own league during the regular season. A 60-game season is tilted enough.

By shifting Braun to DH duty during a shortened, delayed season, Counsell would be able to play Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain and Avasaíl Garcia regularly in the outfield, which he prefers to do, while giving Justin Smoak plenty of at-bats at first base.

Brandon Woodruff will start the opener against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field next Friday night.
"Brandon Woodruff has been the opening-day starter since early October," Counsell said of the right-hander.
Counsell also said Brett Anderson will start the second game of the series provided he's completely recovered from the blister on his left index finger that forced him out of his scrimmage start Wednesday.

Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes and Freddy Peralta will start against the Chicago Cubs in the season-opening series at Wrigley Field this weekend, followed by Adrian Houser and Josh Lindblom in the first two games in the following series in Pittsburgh.
"What I want to stress to you guys is don’t get stuck thinking this is going to be the traditional five guys and a starting pitcher every day,” Counsell said.
“We’ll count on Brent (Suter) for some length in the middle of games. I think Devin (Williams) can play a nice role, maybe not length in terms of a starter’s length, but I think he can play a nice role, also.”

5-3 over the White Sox in the tune-up game. Homers by Hiura, Yelich, Gamel, and Arcia.

Major League Baseball and the Players Association are having last-minute discussions about expanding the playoffs to 16 teams for the 2020 season, Jon Heyman reports. Included in those discussions is the idea that division winners will be able to choose their opponents during a televised selection show.

Predictions for the season guys? How many games will the Brewers win? How many homers will Yelich hit? How many saves will Hader have? Will the Brewers make the playoffs? If so, what seed?

I sure hope the Brewers can make the playoffs. Will we have a .400 hitter in MLB?
Is Hader the closer?
