This team gives me 2013-2014 vibes. Dymanic scoring guard JO (Darius) paired with more of a floor general Steve (Te'Jon) surrounded by athletic wings JR, Akeem, and Niang (Deandre, Turo and Josh) and shooting wings Austin, Cody (Bobby, Shae) . The depth of the team especially at guard and vets in the front court Klem, Malcom, Tiby (Sessoms, Amir, Harrison). If this team can catch their rythym at the right time this could be a tournament team. Excited to see how this season plays out. horizoneroundtable.com/2019/10/08/milwaukee-panthers-2019-20-season-preview/"Looking back to the last point guard transfer Milwaukee got after a season where a combo guard was running point, Lucas compares very favorably to Steve McWhorter. Given the role that the Indiana State transfer McWhorter played in the Panthers’ 2014 and 2015 seasons, that’s exciting news for Milwaukee. With McWhorter as its primary ball handler, Milwaukee went from eight wins in 2013 to 21 wins and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2014. Lucas figures to be the Panthers’ best — and most important — player this season, and a more apt comparison for the type of impact he can have may be former Green Bay star Sandy Cohen III. If Milwaukee wants to have a turnaround like the 2014 team saw, they’ll need their only true point guard to deliver. Fortunately, it seems like he’s more than capable." "Darius Roy – Milwaukee’s leader in points and assists last season is another lock to start in 2019-20, and the votes he received for the HoriZone Roundtable All-League team solidify that. Roy’s assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.28 last year wasn’t bad, but sliding him to shooting guard and taking pressure to be a distributor for 35 minutes off of him could see similar benefits as when Jordan Aaron slid over in 2014." 🤔

Good link. Thanks.
I wonder how Brown and Wilbourn will fit in. Are they ready for minutes? Does one redshirt?
One outsider from Illinois came on this board and had great things to say about CJ Wilbourn.

The Blue Ribbon Basketball Yearbook, the so-called college basketball bible, has a marvelous writeup on the program. They really like our backcourt and have pegged Te'Jon as the league's top newcomer. They pick us for 7th, ahead of UDM, IUPUI and CSU, and give us a B for backcourt, a C for frontcourt, a B-minus for bench/depth and a B-minus for intangibles. Just a spot-on analysis!

Three B's and one C only gets you 7th place?

I don’t take much stock in predictions. It is all based on last year results. A positive write though. Lucas is the real deal and improvement is based on hard work and team chemistry. I hate to be a conspiracy theorist but Big Ten refs know the studs in the league. We could see more calls at least at home with a guy like Lucas at point. No disrespect to Roy but he isn’t a point. His game is catch and shoot. Let’s hope he gives the reins to Lucas with confidence and teamwork. His numbers shouldn’t change and may be better getting dishes from Lucas.

Three B's and one C only gets you 7th place? My guess is that the grades are relative to everyone, not just H League teams. All in all, this is a positive preview.

I don't see Henderson being our Tiby. I see Henderson more as our Kelm, vet who can shoot from the perimeter and grab some boards, while Amir Allen's energy, hustle on the glass and effort on the defensive side of the ball leads me more towards the Tiby comparison.
