Anybody know that Tony Evers Budget proposal includes money for addition to Klotsche Center. Are we talking about a Practice Facility? I think the amount of money was pretty much the cost of previous plans. I could be wrong but will check. UWM was well represented in the budget proposal. Here is hoping! It would be huge for recruiting and coaching retention or future changes.
Per the JSonline article "Evers also wants $40.7 million to renovate UW-Milwaukee's student union and $7 million for an addition to the Klotsche Center. Those projects would be paid using university revenue."
I'm not really sure what $7 million gets you as far as the Klotsche goes? Any money spent on athletic facilities is a positive though, imo.

“Evers’ plans would mean major projects on the UW-Madison campus, as well. He wants to spend $126.4 million for a new gymnasium and recreational facility, $77.7 million for a renovation of Camp Randall Stadium and $38 million for an addition and renovation of the Kohl Center.”

Seem to recall the original proposal by UWM for a basketball practice facility was $11.7 million which was subsequently scaled down to $7 mil so this must be it. Also I believe it would be financed through segregated fees. Walker did not approve even the scaled back amount last year even though not financed not by "the hard working taxpayers of Wisconsin". How about we get Foxconn to finance it with their naming rights? ha ha....probably closest thing to a mfg plant we will see out of them ....,
I have mixed success reading articles at this website, but this article came right up for me. The big ticket items which the Governor is supporting is a new Chemistry building and renovation of the Student Union building. The third item mentioned is $7M for the practice space and other improvements to the Klotsche/Pavilion complex. It’s apparently going to be built as an addition rather than a separate building.

A panther is like a leopard. Except it hasn't been peppered. Should you behold a panther crouch, prepare to say "ouch." Better yet, if called by a panther...don't anther (Ogden Nash "The Panther")
