Good post Jimmy.
Here's to Lucas coming in next year and being a top 5 player in this league.

Funny that I just read this as "Pounce transferring!"

Frustrating. How many players is that from last year that transferred? 8 or 9? I wonder if thats an NCAA record. Could you imagine the nationwide headlines if this were to happen to say Duke, or even a BIG 10 team?
Sorry, done venting.

Not so uncommon with new coaches.

I do not believe any of PB's scholarship recruits have transferred or quit the team. If and when his own impactful players leave early, then we have much greater cause for concern.
Granted there has not been much time for any of his recruits to leave. They just recently got here. Because he has not had much time, it is only fair for us to see how he develops and advances the team with his own players.

I wonder where Carson will resurface. Perhaps it will be Butler? Or Loyola? No offense to Carson but there's no chance he ends up at Butler.

I was about to say I could see him going to any MVC school that isn't Loyola. Loyola would be a possibility I think had they not been in the Final Four last year. Northern Illinois would be another logical choice I’d think. Don’t get me wrong... He’s a good player. But he’s not consistent enough to play at Butler. Nze works there because he’s big and you knew what you’d get with him every game. CWN could put up 30 or 0. I’m going to miss his defense though. Hopefully Madge continues to develop. He’s shown some real bright spots the last few games. I like that he’s a true freshman and not a JUCO transfer. Nowhere to go but up for him.

If CWN and coach Baldwin didn't get along, so be it. Coach Baldwin is doing fine with his own players as a second year HC, and will continue to develop with his players.
Jeter was a good coach at the end, but probably wasn't the right hire in the first place. He also had zero head coaching experience. He had quite the learning curve after Bruce's players left.
I'm encouraged by coach Baldwins progression, and how well his young players are developing. I think next year 20 wins is attainable, and who knows what the ceiling is after that. He is recruiting good players and good kids from what I can tell. We have a young team, and although it would have been nice to keep CWN, he will have to find a niche somewhere else

I respect CWN’s desire to transfer. Hope he get more minutes at another institution. He seems like a good kid.whose game wasn’t in line with PB’s and couldn’t figure out he needed to change. You could see he was actually disrupting the offense by not moving and cutting after a pass. There are not many teams out there that run and gun. It is a coaches game these days. Buy in or move on. Good Luck, the talent is there. It will be good for players like Sessoms and Madge and even Arthur/Williams who I humbly predict will have a great second half of the year.

I wonder where Carson will resurface. Perhaps it will be Butler? Or Loyola? Minnesota? Brock could show him proper bench etiquette.
