Marcus White, a high school teammate of Chris Hill's at Whitney Young High School in Chicago, has left UConn to transfer elsewhere. He is a 6'8" athletic forward that sat out all of last year with an injury...it will be interesting if UIC, Loyola or UWM try to bring him closer to home.

Kaygee, we are committed to James Douglas, Walter Waters and Ryan Childress and are strongly interested in Elliott (James) Johnson of Vincent, who is said to show a mutual interest but is now unable to sign until the late signing period. He would fill our fourth and final available scholarship and would according to one service make this a top 40 recruiting class. At most, White has 1 1/2 years of eligibility remaining and has a history of injuries, so this just wouldn't make sense on a couple of different levels. I do wish Marcus well.

I never said UWM would have to give him a scholarship...he could pay his own way and earn a scholarship for his senior year ('06-'07) which we have like 7 scholarships to give. Wimmer did just that and Rob Sanders never was able to get a scholarship because he wasn't released by Toledo. Stranger things have happened.

Don't know what/how things would work, but as a "non-resident" if this kid is paying out of pocket, they'll have to be pretty darn deep! Current bill is over 18 grand for tuition alone....
Perhaps we can all pool our piggy banks and come up with books for him? ;D

The University usually can come up with creative ways to provide a "discount" on out-of-state tuition to athletes, etc., through financial aid packages. I would be very surprised if Rob Sanders is paying the same price tag as a regular out-of-state student. Believe me I know the price tag of out=of-state tuition...payed that myself!

. Believe me I know the price tag of out=of-state tuition...payed that myself! But didn't you get a big paycheck from the athletic department for all the time, energy, hard work (and sometimes abuse) you put into working with/for the teams (specifically the men's bball team)? Wait, I think I know the answer..........you surely DID NOT! Let me say, thanks again Kaygee! Rest assured, your efforts did not go unnoticed/unappreciated by everyone.

If you are talking about in Detroit, I have no idea what you are referring to! If you are talking about any other time, I still have no idea what you are talking about. LOL Classic ;D Guess that kind of thing doesn't go unnoticed either...... haha Edit: If you are talking about any happenings at WSU, I also don't have any idea what you are talking about.
