Interested in anyone at the game's feedback on how we looked and "eye test". On paper pleased with win . I would not have been devastated frankly if we lost as holy cow, talk about having to knit together a team and lots of chance to stumble against an experienced opponent used to playing together even if D 3. The Concordia announcer was complimentary . Ok, have to belabor the point, and apologize for my "political comment" . Just frustrated after getting pumped up to listen to first game on radio and our AD website listed WISN 1130 on the schedule link under mens basketball. Have to laugh I guess....depth of despair was then turning on WISN and getting that.....anyway...it will be really interesting. I am not going to look at won-loss so much during non conference as this will be all about getting some fluidity and continuity established and that is going to take awhile. Conversely, really pumped and by the time we get into conference play hoping we do well and just keep improving toward HL tourney time. Definitely hopeful....looks like maybe some nice roster balance here

I was at the game. Wasn't the Concordia announcer Matt Menzl who is the UWM Women's voice?

It was Matt. He did a nice job. No technical issues. I offer one piece of constructive criticism (not really criticism). Slow down once in awhile and focus on diction. He speaks so quickly sometimes he literally seems to swallow his words and sometimes very difficult to understand as it is garbled

Steve, I understand the frustration with the radio broadcast being listed for the game on the schedule. However, let's give credit and thanks to SID Chris Sills for posting the link to Concordia's play-by-play call on this thread yesterday afternoon. Apparently you missed it. Not that this will ease your frustration, but even well-run athletic departments drop the PR ball occasionally. Here in Phoenix, prior to GCU's exhibition game against Montana State-Billings, GCU's press releases and at least my season ticket rep referred to the opponent as "Montana State." I wonder how many in the announced crowd of 6,115 thought they were going to see a D1 opponent. Based on this typical pre-game warm-up, it probably did not not matter though. http://instagram.com/p/BplHftUj_H3

Points well taken. I did miss that and going back that was very good to do and thanks to Chris for doing that. A lot of cumulative frustration built up over the years with things much of which also include the University admin as a whole but it is a new day. I really like Coach Baldwin and looking forward to a fun season. Trying to be fair and more upbeat. Along those lines it is very cool that the baseball team will be playing at Routine Field and I am going to attend some of those games how which I would not do at the Hank. The coverage of the total sports portfolio is much better and enjoying reading more on all the sports teams on the AD website. Life did not end in March 2016.....

I do believe the Panthers will have a found a true point guard in Darius Roy. Great speed!

Thoughts on game. First half pretty predictable. Players shuffled in and out and focus on running offense. The defense not great as Barnes loses man trying to pick pockets. Wondered why ball never went low. Second half a different story. Team is conditioned and athletic and they went low. Refs were terrible and seemed to let Concordia bump far too much. Abrams dunk in second half was like nothing seen around here since Craig Greene. Liked Arthur-Williams. Strong kid with pretty good handle will only get better. Wright and Roy play hard and are scorers. For Frosh Mitchell played well, nice stroke. Allen a strong kid that needs to get comfortable, moves pretty well. Sessoms seems a little stiff could be nerves. Nze would have looked great with this group. I like Roy better than Bell. Stull was a leader much like Wright. Wright shoots better. Horse apiece. There will be hardaches with this team. They are actually fun to watch and are quicker than last years team.
