Loyola wins its first tourney game since 1985 on a classic March Madness buzzer beater! Also loved Buffalo biatchslapping Arizona.

Marshall just beat Wichita State. Marshall finished fourth in CUSA. Makes you wonder how MTSU (24-7), ODU (25-7) and Western Kentucky (25-10) might have done, doesn't it?
But there was no room to invite any of them because we needed to watch Oklahoma crap the bed for the 12th time in its last 16 games.

I know these teams can play. How can you put them in when their resume does not look to be one of the best 36 at-large?

I know these teams can play. How can you put them in when their resume does not look to be one of the best 36 at-large? Simple. Stop taking mediocre teams from the P5 conferences. Why the hell are lousy squads like Mizzou or Creighton in this tournament? Because scheduling is broken and the formulas overrate the high majors at the expense of the mids to protect overpaid coaches and ADs. One easy fix is no at-large teams that don’t finish with at least a winning conference record.

Start by not looking at Quad 1 wins, but Quad 1 WINNING PERCENTAGE. So 2-1 trumps 3-11!!!

UMBC shot the lights out, the Lyles kid reminded me of Steph Curry, that that he was drilling long shots and laying it tough layins with aplomb, he was hitting long runners even after the whistle. These kids just became legends, and this team will be remembered as long as there is March Madness. There are only a few sports upsets that rival this. the 1906 White Sox beating the 116 win Cubs, the Miracle on Ice, Tyson losing to Buster Douglass, Y E Yang knocking off Tiger at a major.

It's too bad the ACC team wasn't Duke or UNC. Virginia is one of the schools that seems all class.
