They announced 1,865 for attendance! Having been to more games at The Arena than I can count, that seems WAY out of whack!! Outside of that, it was a nice afternoon with some friends against quite clearly the first team in the league this year to cash in its chips!!

P.S. Why the hell is this one of the four televised games? (And the last, too.) It's like they picked the most atrocious opponents possible to televise. (YSU and C-St.P were two of the others, I believe.) Almost makes you wonder if some planning went into that. I do not post much on here, it's not my place, but I just wanted to clear up the question for you. 1. Had to work around Bucks games (and Wisconsin hockey for that matter) 2. Had to work around Wayne's schedule with the Packers. 3. Wanted to put games on that we could reasonably win (keeps fans watching) 4. "Better" games were not picked because we want fans to come to the arena to watch those in person. So, yes, plenty of planning actually went into it. If you have a crystal ball that told me CSU would be 5-18 at this point in the season back in summer, I am all ears. And no, we did not put CSP on. Feel free to call me at 414-750-2090 if I did not answer all of your questions.

To play the way we have the last three games defensively, we're getting to how I want to play on that end where we're making it difficult on opponents to score," said Baldwin. "The guys at the top, they're really taking on the challenge of doing all it takes at the point of attack with guarding the ball. Our big guys are doing a great job, our help defense is getting much better, and we have to continue that"

Solid win today. It was close for a long time, but in the end it was nice to pull out a nice double digit win. Nze has put a nice stretch of games together lately as well. On to UIC...hoping to keep stringing wins together!

"Better" games were not picked because we want fans to come to the arena to watch those in person. I like this reasoning. The only way I would refine it is by not televising ANY home games until attendance hits a respectable average. Televise the Green Bay and UIC road games on FSW, along with a couple other road games that fit your other three criteria. Getting people in the arena should always be paramount, no matter how toxic Zills' boss may be to a large portion of the fan base.

Feel free to call me at 414-750-2090 if I did not answer all of your questions. First of all, let's be transparent. Given this athletic department's hard earned reputation for secret intrigue when it comes to the men's hoops program, private phone calls are the wrong medium. How about just continuing to post? In that vein, I have some questions that I think the few remaining fans of the program would truly enjoy the department answering. (Fair warning, some of us know how to fact check.) 1) Both ticket sales and actual attendance have collapsed precipitously since the AD's decision to blow up the program on March 17, 2016. Nearing the end of the second season post-purge it is overwhelmingly clear that the ticket buying public liked the program MUCH more with Rob Jeter running it. Since the AD can't fire Mr. Jeter again to solve whatever problems she apparently perceived, what's the plan to attract enough fans so that the program doesn't devolve -- AGAIN -- to D3 status. It's already drawing like a D3 program. 2) When will Pat Baldwin be fired, inasmuch as it's obvious that he has no realistic chance in the foreseeable future of meeting the AD's explicitly stated standards that the men's program A] finish in the top three of the league every year (even though the league has plummeted from being ranked in the high teens all the way to the mid 20s of only 32 D1 leagues); B] finish in the top 100 of the RPI; and C] have a top 150 schedule (or was it top 100 -- really, does it matter)? 3) What are the REAL attendance figures for the games? Using the CSU game as an example (although you could use almost any home game this year), a simple look around the arena showed there could not possibly have been 1,000 people in the building, much less 1,000 ticket buying fans. A liberal estimate would be about 750-800. Yet the announced attendance was twice that -- well over 1600. Please explain the difference. If the explanation is that the difference is between the number of tickets sold and the number of fans who actually attended, what explains the fact that half the people who bought tickets chose to stay away? Was there a bowling tournament going on somewhere? It's not church festival season. 4) What are the actual TV ratings for the four televised games? Since we are apparently scheduling games so that people can hear the dulcet tones of Wayne Larrivee outside Packers' season, how many folks is he actually talking to on these broadcasts? And by the way, while I appreciate your honest explanation for why such awful games were chosen for the telecasts, you'll forgive me for noting that it sounds like we are the short, skinny kid wearing thick glasses and a brace on his knee who gets selected last in the pickup game. Yay Milwaukee. We'll hang up and listen now.

a very solid win against an admittedly bad opponent. we are now 5th in conference, which would put us in the 2 Day 3 games , and mean we'd need to win 3 games to get to the dance, as opposed to the 4 we had to win last year ( and which we very nearly did). up to 12 wins (more than all of last year) with several more winnable games left.
