Ok, so my 2500 guess was off. There were well over a thousand fans at that game and 1600 seems realistic.

Am I missing something or are there almost no students in the student section? Students are still on break, I do believe. Back when I was in school, we didn't get or need such a lengthy break. In fact, I used to walk for miles to school through the blowing, drifting snow!

both ways, ghostofdylan? break length is what it was fir me while i was there (03-06) Students return on Monday. Was at the game. Had the lead for some 30 minutes and has as big as a 12 point lead. comes from hitting your first 4 threes, and 80% of your shots to start the game. Much needed win, and one that I was not expecting. at all. 3-6 in conference, still have a chance to climb the standing, and finish in the middle of the pack. Finish in the 3-6 range and we in essence get a double bye, since we don't play the first 2 days

Warras said after the game that WSU went 0-7 to finish the game and Benzinger didn't have the ball in his hands at the end of the game. Hell of an effort defensively down the stretch! CWN's effort on the shot clock violation was incredible.
This is probably just me but does any coach sit as much as Nagy? I've never seen a coach actively sit as much he does. It's like he tries to enforce a self-imposed touchline ban like a soccer manager would receive. Whereas some coaches are wildly over exuberant, Nagy actively tries to do as little as possible. Not bashing him just a style I'm not used to seeing.

Sometimes I enjoy reading these threads as much as watching the games. I have not seen such self-serving discussion about crowd size since the days that followed the presidential inauguration!
When it comes to estimating crowd size, I was reminded of something when I attended the Oakland game at Panther Arena this past December 28. It was my first game in two years. When people fill a fraction of the arena (1/3 or less), the crowd seem bigger when attending in person than it looks on TV. I think this is because when looking side to side, one notices people more than the empty seats. It also helps that renewing aquaintances or just seeing some familiar faces from the past gives one the perception of more people there than there really are. In other words the focus is on those that are there and not those who are not. I am not a psychologist, this is just my own self-analysis regarding the issue.
It was nice to see more fans in the stands for the WSU game than there have been. For now, baby steps.

Vegas now has it at WSU -1. Sounds like a good time to invest in my early retirement. How many more years will you have to keep working now?

Fun, fun game to be at last evening. We came out with a completely different attitude in the first minutes of the game...defense was strong, coach was fired up and the players were as well. It is amazing what happens when we play at our pace and take our time(maybe too much time sometimes), Brett was great down low and Brock was his usual as well.

It's amazing how one win can boost my spirits. Hopefully it does the same for the players and coaches and they can use this win as a springboard to turn the tide.
Speaking of paper thin depth, doesn't drocks have one year of eligibility left seeing as he didn't sign with an agent when he entered the draft early years ago?

Thankfully I stay away from betting on sports so the temptation was never really there. And even if I did, I’ve learned over the years to stay far away from the Panthers (aka Jeckyll and Hyde). Plus I’m in my early 30s so I’ve got a long way to go before retirement!

When sportsbetting, more often than not, fade the public. Too much recency bias when betting. When someone says "I'd bet my mortgage or retirement on that game" always go the other way.

Also, I feel like this is Benzinger's 6th year at Wright St Wright State has him on the Vaughn Duggins plan.
