I don't want to watch a poor quality overtime.

God help us we have to watch 5 more minutes of this?

For no good reason I have to believe that Baldwin is more likely to get control of his team than Darner in oT.

Without J.J., this team is even more precariously thin.

Green Bay: 11-26, 42.3% from three.
Milwaukee: 13-24, 54.2% from the free throw line.
There's your game. By the way, this team has absolutely regressed.

This road trip was an unmitigated catastrophe. 1-4 against awful teams. Which of course makes us ... an awful team!

Explain why -- given our paper thin depth -- we would concede style of play to GB and try to run and gun with them.
Mystifying.
Meanwhile, we are rather obviously out of the HL race after only 7 games. Wow.

Going into the season, a common expectation on this board and by others was about 13 wins, give or take a little. I think we are on target for that or somewhat better.
Now that there has been a market correction following general overachievement in non-conference play by an undermanned group of players and a rookie coaching staff coming off a 10 win season and its third coach in three years (all of these are inter-related, by the way), why the expression of surprise and disappointment?
Come on guys, the team had a tough five game road trip. We should be used to peaks and valleys in any season, not unlike what we have seen for at least the the past dozen years.
As Dylan questioned before the IUPUI game, does the outcome of any of these conference regular season games matter that much when it really comes down to the conference tournament?
I was entertained by watching last night's game, and look forward to the rest of the season and the ebbs and flows that come with it. Yes, we want our team to win every game and are disappointed when it does not, but so do the fans of each opponent.
Now, if MKE is still like this in PB's third or fourth season, my tune will be different.

Could not agree more. After the turmoil and debacle facilitated by Ms Braun not even BP could assemble a formidable roster that quickly from what remained after the scorched earth. We are very very thin and undermanned. Looking at the five potential new guys for next year that is another year of building depth. Like you mentioned figured lucky to be .500 this year but improvement and I think that is what we have seen despite the road trip. I just have the constant lurking issue of Ms Braun in my mind and whether PB will stay for any length of time. Have heard so many stories from totally reliable sources about the meanness and pettiness, tone deaf....case in point, last year a veteran kid on the roster was asked to stay home and not travel with the team to "save money"... made the kid question whether he was part of the team. So small and petty like a lot of what she does. Wonder if that would have been an issue on the womens team? So what happens? She GETS A CONTRACT EXTENSION!!!! I would bet if there is any fiscal improvement at all it is because of Jordan's buy out not anything she did but she will most likely tout that in her propaganda release when the time comes. Back to the team, Lets hope things get better on the home stand.

Here's a quick take on all of this: Records, RPI, conference standing and SOS matter not from March 2-6. MCM is mostly a crapshoot and unless Wright State, NKU or Oakland prevail, our league is staring squarely at a 16 seed and quite likely a play-in game. Where those things matter are in public perception, media attention and attendance. That is how this 1-4 road trip plunged us further into the depths of disrepair and why I think that some are feeling so disillusioned nearly two years after the reboot.

Disturbingly public perception, media attention and attendance are at levels have not seen since about 1999. Especially the latter two . As they saying goes, it is always the darkest before the dawn. Problem is neither Mone or Braun are exactly Churchill-esque - Much closer to Kafka-esque....

Where is the mission statement aimed at righting this ship? All I see at the moment is a vessel taking on water.

Couldn't agree more. When the team outperformed expectations, those expectations changed. Now that the 'market correction' happened, the expectations will be corrected. Cause and effect; fandom is mostly reactionary. As far as Fran, Dylan, Steve and myself are concerned, I would say that we're still waiting for the positive effects to kick in; unfortunately, the cause of all our negative effects remains on campus, drawing a salary, when no one wants that cause here. Hell, at this point I'd be astounded if that cause wants to be here itself.
