....At least we didnt let them score a wide open layup at the buzzer like Cleveland State just did against Detroit?

So, we have lost to YSU and IUPUI in one season....would not have ever expected that. Tough loss tonight... Why not? All teams in HL except OU and NKU are fairly equal in talent. I've stated it before and will state it again... non-conference results cannot necessarily be used to predict conference games. Life on the road in the conference is not easy, nor is it at home either.

I get your point, but considering before the games with UWM...YSU and IUPUI had a total of 3 D1 wins between them both I find that a bit baffling to be honest.

Going to have to beat UIC and GB to salvage a 3-2 road trip. UIC is currently up by 21 on GB with 8 mins left.

From that perspective, you make a very good point.

14 of 25 IUPUI's made shots were three's. Difference in the game.

Jags were 11-30 on twos for 36%. Great two point defense by Panthers! 🌵😉

In all seriousness, the tournament will probably be moving there next year so Motor City Madness will probably change to one of these: "Amateur Sports Capital of the World Madness", "Circle City Madness", "Crossroads of America Madness", "Indy Madness", "India-no-place Madness", "Naptown Madness" or "Railroad City Madness". There'll be more excitement at the White Castle near Lucas Oil Stadium than in Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The only sensible thing to do with the tournament would be to go back to the great system we had before Motor City Malaise. Moving it to another single site won't fix anything. That said, if it was actually moved to Indy, the IFC would be the only sensible choice. Putting the HLT in Bankers' Life would be the epitome of pathetic. Imagine one of those pictures of a 4 year old dressing up in Daddy's pants and shirt. IFC itself, at 6500 capacity, is far bigger than the tournament would ever need. There's not much to do near the State Fairgrounds, but it's only about a 15 minute ride to downtown.

For anyone interested, MKE is #203 coming in, with IUPUI #286 in the RPI. New RPI's: MKE 222, IUPUI 272 Gotta win these last two road games to complete a 3-2 road trip and stay in contact with the leaders.

Fran, we know "sensible" and "Horizon League" go together like "humility" and "Buckeyes football fan". I fully expect the tournament to move to BLF if it does in fact relocate to Indy for this reason - the commute from the league's headquarters is a 5 block walk. The new format is all about convenience for them. Why expect anything less this time around?

This team needs a point guard who can run offense. Too much time is spent outside the three point line aimlessly pounding the basketball. They also need to take care of the ball better.
Motor City Madness will be a lot of bad basketball but it will also be entertaining because all 10 teams can literally win the thing.

"Our guys did a great job," Baldwin said. "We had the lead, we did all that we needed to do. I thought in the latter part of the second half and towards the end of the game we made some crucial defensive errors and it helped them get the lead."
