So is this a sign that the colors might be changing back to the old gold like Purdue?

Color options shown below for track surfaces (black is missing). These colors tend to show dirt less often than a bright color like the Gold the Panthers use. The "Old Gold" color used was also the closest thing to the actual Gold color used by team. Better than the old BLUE color the track was before resurfacing. Unlike jerseys, wood courts, and such, track surfaces are limited by the company on the colors they can use. No plans to change the actual school colors or uniform colors. On the same topic, seems like the track worked well for the team. Injuries were down after seeing a steady increase in lower leg issues as the old surface aged. Also, more facility & meet records were broken this year at home meets than in recent years. Considering the Horizon League Championships used to be held at Klotsche, these new records show signs of better athletes, but also a better surface. Attachments:
