Good win and WSU lost to UIC tonight so that helps too! Btw the OU fans are pretty riled about Akeem's layup at the end and I think it's fairly comedic. Oakland fan: I only saw it from 1 fan. And I agree, it was completely embarrassing what he said. I know he's already apologized, but you guys totally have the right to laugh at that. Wishing a player to get hurt is far beyond ridiculous. As of now there's not even 1 comment on our board about something that I could not care less about. Certainly won't find me defending what @grizztalkou said. |

One question: was Oakland pressing?
In truth, I don't really care because we simply have much bigger fish to fry.
Many of the things I hoped to accomplish at the beginning of the season are still in play.
In the meantime, this is the 14th time since UWM re-entered Division 1 (and the 25th time in program history, for what it's worth) that it has reached at least 16 victories. Seven of those 14 seasons have come under the current coach.

Austin, who's now shooting 35.2 percent on 3-pointers this season, has made 16 of his last 35 for 45.7%.
He needs to make 45 more to break Ed's single-season record of 107 set in the Sweet 16 season of 2004-05.

All five starters in double figures in scoring, and three double-doubles: Tiby and Panoske with points/ rebounds, and Jet with points/assists.
I'd call that a good night.

Speaking of Matt, did anyone notice the old lady in the stands call him an A-Hole?
It was early on right after the following play:
13:14 GOOD LAYUP by TIBY,MATT(fastbreak)(in the paint) 17 (+5) Oakland 12
Oakland took a timeout.
Matt was fired up and showed some emotion on the court.
You could tell the old lady was offended and you can see her mouth the words "what an a-hole".
Thought it was pretty funny.

For all their homerism, the OU radio team mentioned Matt as a player who shows a lot of emotion, and they appeared to approve of it. They certainly recognized Matt as one of the better players in the league. |
