It is very hard to argue with that, FTA. I have had this conversation with a number of people. Right now it's pretty clear the 4th best coach in D1 in Wisconsin is the guy who makes more than the other three combined and just got an extension. Is it possible he will improve given time? Sure. Most coaches do. But he has shown essentially no reason to think he's ever going to be a top coach. Reading the MU beat articles, about all the guy ever talks about is "trying hard" or "playing hard." Yeah, fine. That probably worked well for an assistant at Duke, which takes its pick of Mickey D players. It doesn't get you very far as the head coach at MU where you actually have to coach them up. Buzz was a creep but he was 5 times the coach that WOJO! is. Btw, my criticisms of Ellenson (and remember, I still had him fourth in the state out of all D1 players) have an awful lot to do with the fact that fundamentally he plays like a freshman, despite all his talent. He would be a hell of a lot of fun to watch as a junior or senior -- but he never will be. I have always said the best possible college players (from a fan's perspective) are the guys who are almost, but not quite, good enough to get drafted (or at least drafted early). In two or three years Ethan Happ will be an All-American candidate while Ellenson is trying to get enough minutes to avoid bouncing in and out of the D-league. Happ might well trade places for Ellenson's paycheck, but as a college fan, I'll take the kid who sticks around. LOL. Wojo kicked Tara's boyfriend in his own gym. Gard has done a great job, but Jeter and GB's coach ahead of Wojo? Not even close. Wojo is in his second year, and even then Tara sobbed watching her boyfriend lose to him at the Kohl.

I fully believe Linc Darner and Rob Jeter are ahead of Wojo. Wojo has proven to be a good recruiter and poor in-game coach, if you think otherwise you are blinded by your fandom of MU. That being said, he's only in his 2nd year, he should develop as time goes on. But as of right now he's not close to Jeter or Darner.

Wow, you won at WI. Something Milwaukee did 2 days prior. Congrats on that one.

As I have for a decade, I'll ignore the dirty-minded pissant. Literally, as I have now put his latest nom-de-moron on ignore.
Back to player observations after another fun weekend:
1) Nigel 2) Matt 3) Ethan 4) Henry 5) Jordy
6) Jordan 7) Carrington 8) Akeem 9) Haanif 10) Luke/Vitto
Btw, if JJ could just stay on the floor for bigger minutes, he could crack this list at some point. But we are close to the end of the season, and I don't suppose things are likely to change much.
Specific observations from the weekend: On the MU front, Ellenson is consistently putting numbers up. What holds him back is that he remains very inefficient. Haanif Cheatham is on a nice run. Carrington Love obviously exploded against YSU, but GB's pace and style tends to inflate its players' numbers. Matt and Jordy were uber-efficient against CSU, to the point where they didn't even play the last 14 minutes or so. If they had stayed in they would have put up big numbers. Finally, Nigel Hayes seems to have played out of his shooting funk and was instrumental in the Badgers' turnaround against UI. Ethan Happ was in beast mode the second half against MSU and all game against UI. That kid has BTPOY potential as an upperclassman.
