Should have tremendous flexibility with this team. I worry about minutes for all these guards on the roster. Coaches never see that as a problem but kids want to play. The rotations at all spots is pretty clear let us hope Jeter doesn't mess with it like he usually does. Noticed that Nate Wells of Bradley going to Ball State. That is one seven footer off someone's list.

For the record, I don't believe we're looking at a 7-footer. Again, I think it will either be someone who can play right now or they may just sit on the scholarship.
As for the rest, I'll just say that there are plenty of guys on this roster who will help. There's really no one here just taking up space, as has been the case at times in the past.

73, I'm going to have to disagree with you about rotations. So many things change between seasons and during seasons. Even if you just slotted Jordan Johnson or Justin Jordan into Steve's PG spot, the rotations for the roster are not set. For example, Austin may be our most talented player -- he will clearly get a lot of court time. JR spent most of last year injured. Fully healthy he could play an even bigger role. Brock brings a shooting talent we lacked at times last year on the perimeter. And that's just three examples. The point is: there's an awful lot of competition yet to play out before Rob and the staff will know what the rotations should be.
I'll reiterate dylan's point: there's talent up and down the roster. The challenge for Rob will be finding the best combinations appropriate for the situation. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch.

Agree with everything you say. I tend to group players by position to figure out who gets playing time. For example Group One is Jordan, Johnson, Lyle, Mcloud. Group two would be Austin, Akeem, Brock, and Cody. The bigs are JJ, Tiby, Tyler, and Prahl. If you move Akeem to group one there is a logjam. If it were up to me, the starting lineup would be Tiby, Tyler, Springs, Ariens, and Jordan. JJ and Prahl off the bench for the bigs Cody and Brock for Austin and Akeem and Mcloud to spell Jordan. Lyle swings to give a defensive spark or if Jeter decides to go small. Is there room for Johnson or a fifth year transfer? Injuries and and red shirting of Johnson may come into play. Tell me if I got it all wrong.

There's definitely room for Johnson.
This year's team may not have the top-end talent that our best teams had (after all, the Sweet 16 team had four of the 10 best players in program history), but there are more guys than ever who can play.
Ask yourself this: who on the roster doesn't merit minutes? J.R? Cody? Brett? Brock? Alex?

I think they all deserve minutes, think Brock will have greatest impact as newcomer. Cody has proved to be valuable asset. The Prahls must continue to improve their footwork and positioning. JR is senior and provides leadership, defense. Still someone has to give up time. It is a good thing to have this depth. I am excited for the coming season. I also think if Jeter is gone the next coach will be in good shape.

Not to marginalize Brock, but I think that with a healthy Austin and Cody on the roster the greatest incoming impact will be made by JayQuon and Jordan, who will help provide the functional athleticism that we largely lacked last year.
