According to @pantheru he is making his official visit this weekend. Although he probably gets overlooked at Dominican because of Diamond Stone, I think this kid could be a monster and one of the most exciting players in the HL. Get him in the weight room for a year and work on that mid range game a little and he could be one hell of a player.

Like this kid a lot. Has great jump and instinct for the ball. Pretty good handle and huge potential. This is the kind of kid Butler would bring in and cause huge matchup problems his junior and senior year. Let's get him on board before someone else's new coach has him heading to Peoria.

He has athletic potential but a long, long way to go skillwise and in terms of physical development. A good redshirt candidate who really needs to hit the weights I would think. Not a kid who could help next year from my perspective.

I don't think anyone believes this kid is going to come in and make waves Day 1. I'd love to stash him, develop him, and turn him into a world beater as an upperclassman, like 73 said.

I would use our lone remaining scholarship on a big guy who can contribute right away.

I am not trying to be funny but is there a big still out there who can contribute any better than the bigs we already have. Goode's athleticism is what this program needs. If Trinson White was 2 to 3 inches taller he would be in the rotation and not transferring. But any scoop on a big that is available would be interesting.

It would be nice to have a kid like Goode in the program. High potential with the ability to dunk everything near the hoop. We need an athletic big like that.

Harold, there are guys out there who haven't even announced that they're transferring yet. We're not even a month into the offseason.

It doesn't seem like a way to build. Waiting for a fifth year guy is a crapshoot that UWM shouldn't play. Moore was ok, Michel Carter took up space, seems we have decent bigs. Give me a name and I may change my mind. To me you make a commitment to your guys and and stick with them. Not on of Jeter's best attributes but it wasn't one for Buzz at MU.

I realize some have sensitive info that cannot/should not be said yet but can we give an idea as to the pecking order of priorities? Is it to be assumed these future/potential transfers are a higher priority than Goode or vice versa?
Also, is Goode a full qualifier for next year or is he also looking at prep schools/JCs?

glad to hear his visit went well. i like the fact that he's a hometown product and we would be able to redshirt him his first year and then move him into the backup 4 spot (behind Scotty) and get 4 full years of production after Tiby and JJ leave. add him with the athletic back court of Justin, Jay, and Akeem along with the sharp shooting of Austin and Cody, then with the Prahls in their 3rd year at the 5 spot and this could be a Horizon League Championship team. with all that being said everyone mentioned has to stay but Jeter has been doing a pretty good job recently of keeping a lot of his core together.

Very reasonable questions, 'Holic.
By the way, when you're in Tampa for a Bucs game you should stop at Brocato's for a Cuban-style sub.
Anyway, I would say that the priority for the coming year is a Division 1-ready big who rebounds and plays defense and then a combination guard with D-1 experience who could redshirt and lead the scout team.
The D1-ready big would give the Panthers an extremely strong 11-man rotation, with Austin, Matt, Jordan, Akeem and J.J. as the starters and the big transfer, J.R., Cody, Justin, Scotty and JayQuon coming off the bench.
As for Goode, he's a project who would benefit greatly from a year at a prep school or a junior college. He reminds me of a player from Dominican that the Panthers recruited a few years ago who was very raw. Was his name David Patten?
