Kind of surprised UIC is a 1 point favorite. I guess they are at home and you never know what Panthers will show up. It could have something to do with our 0-11 record on the road this year. True, but UIC is very bad this season. I expected us to get the W tonight. Nice to get a Road win!

I posted this on Nov. 14:
"This isn't a seventh-place team without Austin Arians."
At the moment, it looks like sixth place is the lowest we will go.

There is a reasonable chance we finish the conference season at 9-7. Remember that we were 7-9 last season in conference play. Something to meditate on.

7-9 finished in 5th in conference then went on that magical run. we'd be facing UIC at the UWM Panther Arena if we were eligible this year in the 5-8 game..

71-60 final. now 11-16 on the year. Jeter is 26 wins away from being the winningest coach in school history.

So he's 21 victories shy of becoming the winningest coach. And in terms of games coached, he just became the longest-tenured.

The coaches, knowing the APR ban was in place (thanks not just to not graduating Pearl and Jeter players but also thanks to not filing paperwork), scheduled several high-majors in the non-conference season to give the players something to play for.
I wonder what kind of team we would be if Austin Arians hadn't shut it down with an injury, Akeem Springs hadn't played 6 weeks with a broken hand, and Brock Stull wouldn't have redshirted.
Say the only difference is Arians played all season. We'd be looking at 14-13 based off of close losses to IUPUI, Oral Roberts and SIUe. And that's just first glance. Perhaps Sunday's game against Valpo would have gone differently.
We really don't know. I just know that you cannot take the best player off of ANY team in the country and have the same team coming out. Where are the Badgers without Kaminsky? Where's GB without Sykes? Where's Valpo without Peters? We've faced a difficult, tumultuous 10 months since the APR ban. We lost no players to transfer when several could have jumped ship. We kept our Arena, we have a practice facility on the desk of the state facilities department, and we're going to have a schedule to build us up rather than break us down.
Suffice to say, I'm pretty jacked up for next year. The Horizon League looks to be better. The Phoenix are relying less on Sykes as the days go by, so they won't be pushovers next year. Valpo returns damn near everybody. Cleveland State is going to come up with new players who will take the "build-a-bear" of college majors and qualify to play.
Let's close out this year strong. 1-2 ties last year's conference record, 2-1 beats it, 3-0 gets us over .500 for conference play.

You know I've seen about 10 total minutes of the entire series of Seinfeld, right?

Spirit is right, so 26 wins puts Jeter at 187. hes coached 318 games at UWM, Penwell coached 331. he'll pass penwell in games coached next year, he'll neeed a very strong season (23-24 wins0 to pass Penwell in the wins department. that would almost certainly require winning the Horizon Tourney and winning a game in the Big Dance.

At the end of last season, ESPN had a graphic that Rob was 155-150. So I just added this year's record to it.
Is it possible that the Mothership was wrong?
