The one match i saw this fall, there were four Panther players who didn't see the field because they were all on crutches.
Susie Johnson, the head coach for volleyball had, it would appear to me from outside, similar losses to injury in 2012, and kept her job. Clearly, there must have been additional factors outside of the health of the squad which lead to the firing of the head coach for women's soccer. Not being a soccer fan, i have no idea what those factors might be, and i have only a mild, academic interest in who might succeed Coach Henschel. Is this Amanda Braun deciding to bring in "her coach"?

I think the record speaks for itself. You can't go from being one of the top teams in the country, to not making your conference tournament in a three year span. It's unfortunate because the team showed some toughness early on. David Nikolic is my top choice!

I felt the wrong hire was made. We should have kept David Nikolic (excuse the spelling) and I think we should go get him now.
Him and Michael built that team to what is was and they drew in the recruits. I think its a perfect fit, if we can get him back.

Yes!!!!!!!!
We should all be more like Amanda Braun!
David is a 1991 or '92 UWM graduate, by the way.

David Nikolic. He's been the right choice for either soccer job multiple times.
Amanda Braun could pretty much cement her awesomeness by hiring him.

I sent Braun an email and was told Kathy Litzau is handling this. So I emailed Kathy as well. Had to send out a text to David while I was at it hoping that if he were asked, that he would at least interview for the position. Michael and David have Northwestern headed in the right direction.

mkepanthers.com/news/2015/1/9/WSOC_0109155939.aspxThey went to a Division II coach instead of a Division III coach this time. He's apparently run a very good program at Parkside for a long time. The only strike against him appears to be that he's not Dave Nikolic.

UNREAL! I Give up on this University! Pathetic! Huh? This is what Amanda told me she wanted some time ago: a proven winner from the lower levels of the NCAA. She's somewhat feared by the coaches throughout the department. I like that.

David Nikolic turned down a low-ball offer.

Milwaukee is a different animal. Ask Henschel about what it takes to be successful. Low balling Nikolic is an insult to not only him, but to the Moynihans and to all Panther fans.
Braun might run the department, but she doesn't recruit. UWM has little presence with the big soccer club here in the state. Before Mike and David left, you would see them all of the time. If Braun is trying to turn this into a D3 program, she is doing a heck of a job.
