It's behind a paywall, yet it popped up on my phone....
The project would consist of installing a new marquee video screen and backlit panels to highlight the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. A football turf would be installed amid the panels for children to play on, and bleacher seating would be put in place on the south end along Vel R. Phillips Avenue for public seating and future press conferences and events.
The project is in its earliest stages of design and buildout. The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame plans to continue conversations with Panther Arena owner Wisconsin Center District. Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame executive director Brian Lammi said initial conversations with Wisconsin Center District CEO Marty Brooks have been receptive but added that the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame owes the district additional details.
"Our goal is that this is meant to be entirely privately funded," Lammi said. "The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame and me personally would actually fund this, so we’re really not looking for any city or other entity to be involved in the funding process. We may have some fan support and some corporate support, but we’re really not looking for other groups to be involved with funding this process."
Lammi said the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame would be interested in a potential naming rights partner or multiple cornerstone partners highlighting the walkway. There is also the potential for Wisconsin sports fans to participate and be recognized in the design.
In a press release, Rinka CEO Matt Rinka said his company has been collaborating with Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame wide receiver Donald Driver, Brian Lammi, the Hall of Fame board, and the Wisconsin Center District on the future for the walkway.
"With the belief that the existing installation has the potential to do much more to honor inductees, we have established project goals to make selective, yet impactful improvements, based on a Vision to Reinvigorate the existing walkway,” Rinka said.
Lammi hopes that the project will be done ahead of the 2024 Republican National Convention. This timeline would also allow the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame to celebrate the renovations at its 75th anniversary induction in April of 2025. The Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 1951 and includes Wisconsin sports legends such as Han

Waiting for the Hank, Giannis and Kareem Statues in Downtown Milwaukee. They have a Hank statue at Am-Fam Field. He doesn't need one downtown. Kareem, yes. Maybe Oscar, Sidney, and Ray too.

Waiting for the Hank, Giannis and Kareem Statues in Downtown Milwaukee. If there's a baseball player that doesn't have a statue in this town that should, it's Eddie Mathews! Probably Warren Spahn, as well. Big time Hall of Famers that racked up the overwhelming majority of those stats in Milwaukee uniforms. Mathews especially!

This should be a hit with many. Will it actually be open during Panther games? Seems like 70% if the stands are closed for us.

The beer stand closed any game is joke!
The mini cream puffs I would guess would be at the snack stand, located at the SW corner of the Arena.
