God bless you, Andrew. You're the unsung hero of Butler's glory years.

Incredible. A player I admired on a program we all admired, even as much as we enjoyed competing with them. I hope for a long, happy life for Andrew and his family.

it is said that God can work miracles. in this case, he absolutely did. medically this man was dead for nearly a half hour. flat out,you dont come back from that, let alone regain any of your facilities. Yet, somehow, Smith has more or less come back to the point where he can dunk a basketball. hes not completely back to what he was before, but he can dunk a basketball. which considering what he went though is flabbergasting.

What terrible news. Hard to imagine what he and his family are going through. Just heartbreaking. Praying for a miracle.

Thankfully lieukemia isn't anywhere near the automatic death sentence it was when I was a kid and my mom worked in the oncology unit at Children's. It still isn't good. This week is just a drain on all of us.
