I'm with GoD, let's take the regular season title next year and roll into Tiby's senior year ready to make another run to the NCAA's.

Sure, forget about the Basketball players you are NOT teaching that there is life after basketball. As long as you get to the NCAAs everything is Hunky Dory.

I didn't say anything of the sort so obviously you are WAY off base. I am extremely disappointed in the low APR score but I also know that it pertains to former players more then it does the current players. I also know that UWM announced steps to improve it. Therefore I will still support them as much as I can next season. Next time don't try to put words in someone else's mouth.

I just read through all 8 pages of this thread. I've seen blame thrown at Ja'Rob McCallum, Shaq and Lonnie Boga, the coaching staff and the athletic department.
I am SHOCKED that haven't seen one mention of James Haarsma. Look there, and you will find the root of not only the 2012-13 season, but also the root of this postseason ban.
Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch. The guy was looking to take Jeter down, and wound up taking the whole program down. There's a special place in Hell for people like that.

He shouldn't have said as much as he did. I would advise against expanding.

I think it's essential for all of us to put aside all the cloak-and-dagger stuff and focus on moving forward.

You know who is responsible for this? The players. Not Jeter, Not Braun, not the academic advisers. These are adults aged 18-23 and if you can't do your stupid homework at what I consider a pretty easy school to graduate from, than shame on you. How is it that some tens of thousands of UWM students can do their homework and study for exams without someone holding their hands yet a handful of basketball players can't do it?

I agree with you, but it should be pointed out that basketball is a 60 hour a week job. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

Whether you expand or not (I hope you do)..what the hell was going on in 2012-2013? I, of course, have no idea what was going on with Haarsma or the 12-13 season. I do know that when I saw one of his first games (at NIU) I thought that he was going to be super star; that of course never happened. (In fact his performance declined the next year.) This season I was at the opener at Loyola and thought that Tiby was going to be a Super Star. Let's see if that happens.
