Attention all Panther fans/alumni who are interested in purchasing a 2014 Horizon League Tournament Champion t-shirt through the UWM Bookstore:
I am going to make sure this situation is taken care of. I'm going to go into work 4 hours early to make sure this is addressed and done right. Look for something on Facebook/Twitter/here on the board (and hopefully the store's website) today with details about the T-Shirt and when and where to purchase them. If anyone has ANY questions, feel free to send me a message! But for now, relax, sit back and just ENJOY the Panthers Championship!
Thank you, Derick Kelly.

I think we all owe Derick a great big thank-you and a round of applause for his relentless efforts to promote the Milwaukee Panthers brand in the face of nearly non-stop barriers, adversity and skepticism throughout the year.
Maybe one day the school's band director and others associated with the university will have a sliver of your pride and passion for the program.
Thanks, Derick! Welcome back to the board!

I checked when I got to school today and the shirts aren't in yet and probably won't be for a while. For what it's worth here's the design:
(Jansport?)

Yea, the Fox 6 video said that Jansport would be making them. (Which means I might get a great deal on leftovers at the outlet store in Appleton.)

Jansport is a good brand! It's been around for awhile.

Thanks Paul, I appreciate it. Here is the latest update: The shirts are being produced as we speak and should be here by the end of our business day (4:30 pm). They have to be picked up so they may not be able to make it back before the pep rally at 1:30. EDIT - Online Preorders are now being accepted on the bookstore's website. I will be selling though Sunday at the Selection Show Party at Major Goolsby's/or the Gasthaus so you will be able to purchase them there as well (barring a complete sell-out). They are going to be approximately $17.95 each. It is in gold only, as requested by athletics, and unfortunately, gold shirts with this vendor only go up to 2XL (this vendor was the only one to actively respond to communication from the store). The order is around 575 shirts, typically most orders are only 144 at the most so they are upping the max they usually do, which is saying a lot considering we haven't come close to selling out those usual orders on previous Championship tee's such as 2011 Horizon League Regular Season Men's Basketball Champs and 2010 Horizon League Tournament Baseball Champs. Even though the order is around 575, a certain school 90 miles to the west has an order of several thousand that was placed and unfortunately, took the 1st priority for this vendor. This shirt had to be approved by athletics, UWM, the Horizon League and the NCAA before it could be submitted for production. We are going to have a 2nd shirt for purchase as well, but that cannot be approved until after the selection show on Sunday. So as you can see, it's been a very exhaustive process in just the last few days. You simply cannot plan something like this even as far back as a week because you don't know for sure if a team will win the title game, ESPECIALLY with Milwaukee's position going in. So in summary, just hold tight and relax, the shirts are on the way! By the way, here is a sneak peek of the t-shirt. OH and we also have Michael Poll Bobblehead's available for sale in the store as well now for $15.00 even. Thanks, Derick.

Update #2 - We have a manager in route to pick up the shirts halfway between here and Appleton. We are expecting them around Pep Rally time but it's going to be close. Realistically, I would expect them around 2 pm depending on traffic.

Any thought of having the bookstore open on Saturday from 11-3 so that all of us non students can pick up our pre-order for tournament time? I don't trust the shipping getting here in time so I elected to do pick up. Didn't realize they were closed Saturday and I can't get there by 4:30 on weekdays...

Update - Sounds like we are going to be open this Saturday, March 15th roughly from 10 am - 4 pm with limited service. Most of the store will closed for inventory but I'm scheduled to help with people looking for merch.
