winner tuesday goes to the big dance. loser probably gets an nit bid. Loser has no chance whatsoever at an NIT bid. Agreed. Loser is headed to the CBI/CIT. I don't see either teams season being over on Tuesday but obviously their will be a big difference in how their respective seasons continue.

This is going to be an extremely difficult game for the Panthers to win. Rob Jeter has never won in that building and the games have not been close in the majority of them. Aaron will have to play like he did last night for this game to be competitive.

Aaron will have to play like he did last night for this game to be competitive. we beat valpo despite losing by big margins in both games during conference play. we upset a heavily favored GB team at their place, when they were rested and we were playing our third game in less than a week. and we beat wright state this year, granted at home but a win is a win.

Only one team who played in the first round in tourney's current format has won four games to get to the NCAAs:
Cleveland State in 2009, as a 3 seed when the league was at 10 teams and there was no bye to the second round for the 3 seed.

I don't think that goes thru the players heads. Or even the coaches. Both have won on their home floor. Panthers look like they were out of energy as it was the 3rd game on the road trip, bus'ing to UIC, Valpo and back home. Then, to fly out a day later to Wright State.

Good luck in the Horizon League Title game from a Butler fan. Stayed up and watched about the last 10 minutes of the game plus OT - very exciting stuff!

Actually Detroit did it as well as the #3 seed in 2012 and won 4 games in a row. Got a #15 seed and was ousted by Kansas. Got to the second round. I'll never forget that. They whipped Wake Forest in a #13 v #4 match-up. I picked Cleveland State to pull the upset in my bracket that year and won a bet over my buddy who said CSU would lose by 10+. He had Wake Forest in his Final 4
