What the hell happened. I had to visit my dad in the hospital at half and we had a very comfortable lead. What the heck happened?

What the hell happened. I had to visit my dad in the hospital at half and we had a very comfortable lead. What the heck happened? The team went into halftime as the 9-3, 2013-14 Milwaukee Panthers, and came out for the 2nd half as the *2012-13* Milwaukee Panthers, that's what happened. As one lifetime fan (who is more knowledgeable and closer to the situation at hand than I) told me, we "panicked" when Northeastern switched defenses in the 2nd half, and looked like we had never seen a 3-2 or a 1-2-2 zone before. We were simply demoralized (and clearly played like it). Our coach doesn't react soon enough when the other team goes on a run (notice how late it was before we finally called a TO?), and he cannot adapt when the opponent changes defenses. Cliff notes: ladies and gentlemen, welcome to your 2012-13 Milwaukee Panthers. Let's hope they don't stick around for long.

And just for the record, this loss dropped us 36 spots in the RPI, from #77 in the country, to #113. Northeastern moved from #202 to #172.

I don't post much anymore and I really don't care if I am villified for saying this, but, these kind of loses drive me nuts with regards to Jeter... Like many others on this forum, I am passionate about MKE hoops...I can't wait for the day when this program can start anew.

Isn't the HL around the 13th best league?

It might seem like everyone in our league "has sucked for the most part". Indeed, the majority of the league does have very disappointing records nearing the end of the OOC season. In fact, no one is above .500 against Division I besides Milwaukee and GB, and the league is a poor 43-55 (.439) against D-I entering today! But the rating services don't lie, and they all say that the HL's average-to-pathetic records are a product of everyone (besides Wright State and Milwaukee) playing a much-improved OOC schedule this year (the league SOS is ranked anywhere from 7th to 13th best in the country depending on where you look). This means that, despite the HL currently being 12 games under .500, it's still ranking around 12th to 15th in all the metrics. Therefore, the league is about where it has been most other years. Put Butler back in, or replace them with someone like Belmont or equivalent (like a competent league commissioner would), and the HL would actually be having one of its best years ever.
So yeah, awful probly isn't the correct word.

Prediction for the 2013-14 season: 15-15. Have you looked at how awful our conference is??? Should have said 15-16; also should have said that is a worst case scenario. I have no best case scenario in mind. I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed

From the 13:34 mark of the second half until the bitter end, I had major flashbacks to last year's game at UIC.
Yikes!
