Awesome win and a much-needed one! I don't know what's better, that Matt Tiby's going to be the face of the team or that he's my Comm classmate! Guy's class on and off the court.
Amazing looking at the stats that we won, but this team's showing stuff that's definitely an up from last year.
Now, as my HS football coach would say, "You're a team that's .500, on a mission."

At the very least this win gives them confidence. I have to think that a victory on the road vs. Davidson is a great building block. Tiby in the first two games is looking like a great player for the season and future. It is early, but this team seems to have more heart. I don't want to get to excited yet, but I can feel this year will be pretty good. Milwaukee has good size, and they are pretty physical. Looks like Arians is really developed his game as we'll. Need Mcwhorter to keep running the point well, did not have that last yr. A good PG makes all the difference. Keep rolling Panthers!

32 from 40 from the free-throw line for the Panthers!

Stat that best defines the difference from last year to this year: 3-17, 17.6% on 3s tonight and they STILL won.
Big step to not live and die by the 3.

Little late to the party, but what a game! I'm so pumped for the rest of the season! It would be nice to be 2-0 right now, but the team has absolutely improved since last year.

Just remember that we beat a Davidson team that went to the Tournament last year and won 8 games. I'm sure the mood was very similar after that game. I expect a lot of one-two punches like Loyola/Davidson this year with inconsistent returning players (where was Bobo tonight?) and so many underclassmen, but the hope is that with our unmatched depth and all this talent, a switch will be flipped at some point and we can dominate the league by the end of it. Tiby is/can be the best player of the Rob Jeter era.

Agree with many comments already listed. I feel that whenever I compliment a personal players future potential or teams outlook, that I jinx them. So all that I will say is great win!! Go Black Go Gold!!

What can we say about Tiby? According to research by historian DKelly, the two-game start to Tiby's career is the best since Von McDade (1990-91) scored 20 or more points in each of his first 10 games. Of course, Von was third in the nation in scoring that year at over 29 points per game.

I'm sure the mood was very similar after (last year's) game. Yep. One difference, I suppose, is that the Panthers were a 13-point road dog in this one. That's surely one of the biggest upsets (against the spread) in program history.

Among the winners were North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Butler and Wichita State. It's an impressive win. The question is whether or not it will lead anywhere.

But, a road win against a (supposedly) quality opponent, by a team that managed just ONE road victory ALL OF LAST SEASON, bodes well for us at least doubling that total.
