*talk about a public health issue.. Wow. At least now I know about 1 out of 10 of you guys/gals (in the Milwaukee area) have probably gotten as or more crazy from alc as I have... Moderation is the key to everything in life. Except Love. And Winning.

My slogan can go both ways though. It reminds me of Pantera front-man Phil Anselmo saying once, "I grew up in New Orleans and had an alcoholic father. When the Saints won- he drank. When the Saints lost- he drank; and then he started to break sh*t and get hot-headed". I'm paraphrasing, but it was something to that effect..

Sorry again to all the great, thicker-skinned-than-I Panther fans and players/coaches I may have offended with my Victor E. Panther's Drunken Sports Corner (crashed) pilot. Lotsa finger pointing to go around but it's at least finally over- I'll definitely give that a: Yes SIR!

I was venting.... in a nonsensical stream-of-consciousness way. And as everyone knows- your conscious observations/random thoughts that you never disclose can be a helluva crazy thing. Say no to binge drinking. Or at the very least- get a Designated Driver! PSA.

Oh and (this is a basketball discussion board about the Milwaukee Panthers, right.. I almost forgot in light of this debacle that has spawned a new Seinfeld quote Knowledge Base right here at uwmfreak.com..

I personally believe that Panoske and Arians are poised for big things. If Kelm sticks around- he could find his groove and do some serious damage that was rarely seen this season. I think Aaron is a helluva (3pt/FT) shooter and can slash and get to the rim when needed. But he is not a facilitator. He is not the Rick Franklin or Kaylon Williams we need to marshal every single one of the other 4 men on the court and win games. The incoming class has potential. Maybe Trinson White or Brett Prahl will make an immediate splash? Maybe the infusion of McWhorter and Tiby will be a huge difference... and maybe Evan Richard will find his inner beast-mode that I saw when he paws-down won the dunk contest as an incoming freshman ages ago..).

All hypotheticals, I know.. I'm just a disillusioned Milwaukee fan searching for silver linings. Facilities be damned (though I think the Cell is best short-term esp. with NO INDICATION AT AL FROM THE AD as to where we will be playing in 3-5 years. I still think we can win games and erase 8-24 like the 2011 Spring run (almost) erased the '06-'07 9-22 campaign.

Who knows... Odds aren't in our favor but a lot can happen. "That's why they play the games". Sports aren't simulated in some Fantasy computer. They are as real as it gets. Let's go Panthers (what's left of our heart and soul)- it ain't over until we tap out.

If any Panther player/coach/AD employee is "A-OK" with the status quo, they need to seriously reflect on March 2011 to now- and see how enthusiasm can drain as fast as it crops up.

Maybe Fall and Winter 2013-2014 will bring better days.... this past season was a horror show (I still followed every possession). But it won't be like this if mentality and ethic can change. The talent (relative to other Mid-Major programs) is ready to roll. These boys gotta go get it and play against the other team, the refs, and in certain cases- even the coaching staff if they are being sent mixed or muddled signals.

Go get it.
