Problem is this team sucks... So we will just lose to conference opponents. Fire Jeter and hire a coach that can recruit and coach. Oh also keep players form transferring.

Since this is the first game of the HL season (i.e. the 2nd 'Beginning of the Season'), the players will take it seriously. Since they have not been taking things seriously yet this season for the most part, they will be beat badly and regress right back to where they were before this game within a week or so. 'Practice makes perfect' and it looks like they never practice as even the most basic things manage to escape them. It's far too late to decide to get serious about the season now. I see us going something like 0-6 or 0-7 in the league before we catch someone sleeping even more than we are and get a win. There's no way we even get in sniffing distance of a 500% record in league play. I'll be burning my season tickets tonight as an offering to the basketball gods in exchange for some semblance of a respectable league record for this team. I hope it works.

The season that counts begins tomorrow. I expect the players will play hard and give it their best effort. I don't expect to see many wins. Just except that right now this team is not as good as other teams in the HL. Nothing you can do but give it your best effort.

The coach and team might actually want this game and show some fight.
Or they could all simply continue their backward slide into oblivion.
