I'm approaching this game with very light expectations. I don't know if we've quite got the cohesion required to beat a team like Northern Iowa at this point in the season, especially on the road. I'm not counting us out, but I'd be satisfied with giving them a game and seeing substantial improvement from our last road trip (barf).

After the last few games, a fourteen point loss sounds about right... It's a question of which team shows up. The one that gave South Carolina all they could handle and beat Davidson, or the one that looked hapless against low-major cupcakes. Who knows? And at this point, I don't really care.

Solid day for the Horizon League thus far. No bad losses, a good win against a Big 10 school. UWGB is hanging with Virginia at half.
Yep, pretty good day for a low major conference.

As a side note.
RIP Rick Majerus.
He was one of my all time favorite coaches. College basketball lost a good one.

Well still another loss but we didn't play terribly and lifeless like the last few games.
UNI is a good team and it was a good hard fought effort. Hopefully things start moving in the right direction and we get going in time for conference play.

We played a lot better but UNI is bigger, more talented, more skilled and very well coached. You can't have defensive lapses against a team like that and we had plenty. But it was great to see Paris back and playing at a high level, and Kyle had his best game of the year. Tough stretch but we are getting better. I am looking forward to the games this week to see the progress continue.
