Marquette & Milwaukee will not meet this season. Dates didn't work for both sides. This just made my weekend! Hopefully Jeter never re-signs that contract again.

Fan formerly known as Dylan Rocks,
I will buy your tickets for a few pennies and a stick of gum. But I have a better idea. Do you want to trade for my UW-Whitewater tickets? The competition is a little more consistent and your UWM package includes many of the same teams. Then again, UWM has such a great history against UW-Parkside under Jeter that you may actually see a closer game.
At least we're not playing MU. That is a positive.
Adios,
FREAK

Seems like best thing going is that we are not playing teams like Butler and Marquette...so we can pad and get that 20 win magic going again...how mediocre...back in the day we were demanding to play Marquette...now we are relieved to not get a beat down and with Butler not in the conf we can maybe win some more.....kind of sad guys...how far we have fallen...bring on the likes of IPFW if we are lucky...

Big DWSU has a pretty excellent thread going on their board discussing what Lecrone's course of action should be, and one of them is a scheduling mandate that requires a certain OOC RPI. In preparing for my response, I saw that pretty much every A10 team was playing at least 5 "high-major" games. I wonder what it would take to get a requirement like that going. We need a stronger schedule. Look at Oakland, who was 16-15 against D-I last year, yet was 141 in the RPI because of a 137 SOS. Who knows what their RPI would have been if they didn't have Summit torpedoes South Dakota, UMKC and IPFW on the schedule? I agree wholeheartedly with this. Our schedule needs to improve. The time for turning down Mizzou and Cincinnati offered 2-for-1's because we needed home games is done.

How about a home-and-home out-of-conference series with Oakland in 2012-13?
Kind of let the Golden Grizzlies test the H League waters before making the jump.

Now, that the Panthers will play all of it's games at the KC, more dates and times will open up to schedule teams to come to Milwaukee.

And fewer teams will be interested in coming to Milwaukee

We will eventually turn it around and we will eventually make it back to the NCAA tourney and when that time comes we will pray to have teams like Marquette on our schedule

Northwestern's non-conference schedule was released and Milwaukee wasn't on it...NU does have games against Butler and UIC though.

20 win seasons are fake with 33-game schedules. I don't care about the pseudo-mystical 20-win plateau. I want tough non-conference opponents that can better prepare us for the conference season and potentially shoot our RPI way up if we win.

So how are we going to put together any kind of home and home contracts now the playing in the Klotsche Center. Can not believe a Northwestern for example would agree to play in that pit. Not to mention how are we now going to play Marquette or Wisconsin at home?? Would be surprised if either would agree to play us in the KC although Wisconsin did years ago.

Twenty-win seasons aren't "fake," but inflated relative to 10 years ago.
Completely agree, though, with the notion of making the non-conference schedule challenging, especially given that the H League is almost certain to be a one-bid league in the coming year.
Have you seen Valpo's schedule? It's not going to help the conference at all.

Well from what i have heard you will be surprised then, as Madison said they are willing to play a game in the KC if we are still there when the new contract is finalized. I am not holding my breathe at all on any new series with MU tho, not for any reason honestly.
