In terms of the crowd, what did you expect? It was a Thursday night, we had the season's first real snowfall and the Bucks -- follow them or not -- were playing across the street.
Actually, an announced crowd of 2,500 seemed about right.
As for the game, you all know of my admiration for the WSU program. When your bottom-out league record is 9-9, you're obviously doing something right.
But this team is as offensively challenged as any in memory, aside from all-league Juilus Mays. Throw a blanket on him from the start and the Raiders are going to have a tough time scoring.
Yes, Wright State struggled to throw the ball in the ocean (2 of 16 from 3-point land), but we have seen that movie before. Remember, Milwaukee leads the nation in 3-point defense.

That was a really weak crowd. Hats off to anyone who braved the driving conditions to go to the game. That was the second worst driving experience of my life but worth it for a very good home win.

No need to sweat the crowd tonight. Our first real snowfall and lousy driving conditions will do that. The Buck's crowd wasn't much better.
Many teams are going to look dejected this year playing the Panther's defense on our court. Great effort tonight.
I finally saw an offense run tonight (at least in the first ten minutes). Good ball movement, touching the post, and finishing from beyond the arc. I hope this is the start of something. Let's take care of business Saturday night against a tough Detroit team.

Ryan Allen adds yet another game to his case for League Defensive Player of the Year.
It is a joy to watch him play. We're going to miss him next year.

Definitely looked as though there were changes made to the offensive game plan. Getting it in the post was much more present, forcing turnovers and near turnovers but also some of the easier points this team has earned. That will improve with practice. Though 23 3's were attempted (and only 6 made) it was good to see emphasis on getting it inside, which opened up some open looks.
Defense was phenomenal. Forced lots of bad shots and poor decisions. We got in their heads for sure.

Nice game. Wright State was outmatched and outplayed in every facet of the game. Only "bad" to this game, 8-13 from the line.

All we need to do the rest of the season is be 21 points better than the opposition. One point better in each of the 21 games that matter. (Hope your hearts can take it). well, let's hope we can be at least 41 points better

I don't know, I didn't see too much different with the offense at all.
Only difference to me was they made their shots last night.

Well, let's hope we can be at least 41 points better My point is, of course, that style points stopped mattering after the UNO game. Now, it's all about adding to the left-hand column.

The team was physically exhausted from the road trip when they played Green Bay. The plan was to rest the guys before Wright State. You could see how it paid off last night. Everyone had some bounce in their step again.
When our guys are fresh, they can really lock you down.

Paid crowd- 2,364/ about 600 at the Cell
Wright State has never been a good draw in terms of attendance for Milwaukee. I thought the folks that were at the game like what they saw and showed their support. Well played game for the Panthers from start to finish!

Paid crowd- 2,364/ about 600 at The Cell. Honestly, I don't think there were that many, unless you include the ushers, concessionaires, band members, cheerleaders, dance team, support staff and media. But who cares? Terrific win in front of a rabidly supportive crowd.

dylan, if you remember seeing the dance team last night, you may want to check your medication.

dylan, if you remember seeing the dance team last night, you may want to check your medication. Those flashbacks I was having were positively Kevin Spacey-esque.
