Wait... so the WPC site is going to be used for an arboretum? Isn't that something more suited for... say... Downer Woods? I mean, if we HAVE to keep a completely useless "forest".......
Then again, if this is the motivation the Milwaukee administrators need to finally tackle the necessary hurdles to get rid of Downer woods for an athletic village, I'm all for it.

Milwaukee should have hopped on the MLS train years ago. Rumors are the league wants well over $50 million for the expansion fee for New York's second team, and cities like Charlotte and Orlando are pushing for an MLS entry with successful lower-tier teams. It was $20 million five years ago and Milwaukee was a desirable location due to its natural rivalry with Chicago and midwestern location. I'd kill for a stadium to house an MLS team and Milwaukee football. Peter Wilt had Milwaukee ready for the MLS 10 years ago with the Park East site and 8,000 season ticket vouchers... then, typical to how things tend to go in our city, petty politics (in this case the Bucks and BC ownership putting a stop to any sports developments at Park East) put the kibosh on it. And people wonder why I hate the Bucks so much...

Two schools that have "won" in conference realignment, Charlotte and UTSA, are football start-ups. UTSA will play three years (2 FCS and 1 WAC) before joining C-USA and Charlotte will play two years in FCS before making the jump.
It's quite obvious what our course of action needs to be.
