I was at the bookstore yesterday, and their website has probably about 1/2 the apparel they do in-store.
And not everybody can make it to campus for their short store hours. There's a real need for merch outside of the bookstore. Do you have a problem finding UW stuff? Of course not. But the UW stuff in most stores is stuff their fans would want to buy. How is Milwaukee supposed to get more inventory into stores when they stock cheap crap? Of course no one is going to buy it - it sucks! Then they just assume no fans want to buy it and they fail to restock even the crap.

It's seems like the website had more hoodies 3 years ago as they do now, but the bookstore is great! If you can't find something you like, well, just fill in the blank. As a season-ticket holder, you get a discount card for the bookstore. I think it 20% or 25% off. It comes with your tickets. Here's my problem. I'd love to go shopping at the bookstore, but I live nowhere near there. Their selection online just isn't the same. Obtaining quality Panther gear is often difficult for me.

Getting stylish Panther gear off-campus is practically impossible.

There is another school that does that too. It must be a marking tool to only put half of the stuff on the website. I would guess to get people to come to their store.

More than adding inventory to their website, I think the bookstore is in for a complete overhaul of its website. Another couple things: With attendance so high this season for volleyball in several games, why doesn't the bookstore have a presence in the Klotsche Center? Even a temporary satellite stand with 15-20 t-shirts and sweatshirts could potentially bring them money. I've said the same about Engelmann Stadium, but I understand that they may not want to expose their inventory to the elements. Of course, they could fill up one of the school vans, but whatever.

That's not a marketing tool, that's a marketing f***-up as you drive your business down by cutting off your ability to reach customers. The fact that the University has allowed the bookstore to get away with this garbage for the last 15 years is just short of criminal. The bookstore treats everyone as if they are lucky to be in their fiefdom. Hopefully, Chancellor Lovell will soon clean house with the deadwood and completely change the chain of command within the union and bookstore.

We have crap logos and we know it. The best we have is the plan M. I would say that this guy (the one in the middle)... ...is the best and should probably replace the belt-buckle panther altogether.

Is this a UWM board or a UW board? Woo-hoo. "Teach us how to Bucky....".
Not sure what that post is supposed to mean other than we suck and only UW has a worthy logo/brand? I like the new Milwaukee logo(s) developed by Jansport. I just wish the AD and bookstore could be more consistent about marketing them.
Btw, I think Pounce would slaughter Bucky in a death-match. Just sayin...
