Wisconsin basketball players don't stay in-state. Vander Blue is an exception to the rule.

Brian Butch just punched a kid from Malcolm in the Middle, and he knows why.

I'm glad news outlets are confirming reports of where he's going, making this whole "The Decision II" bullsh*t with FOX 6 a moo point. [/tribiani]

I'm talking about the 5-star players. And I forgot about Butch.

What was Devin Harris? 4 or 5? I remember he made his announcement at school between classes. There's 3 things to look for above all else; quality education, championship potential, and improving your skills to get ready for the next level. UNC does those as well as anyone.

You're not wrong! UNC is a fine academic institution that just so happens to have a rich basketball tradition. J.P. had it down to two quality institutions and chose the one he was more comfortable with--end of story!

All I have to say is I hope Tokoto never took any enjoyment from UW athletics. If he did he just turned his back on them, maybe this is just my point of view because I would take a bullett for Bucky. When you are raised a Badger and you get a chance to play for UW then you should go to UW.

Dont get me wrong Jimmy I love UWM but I grew up a badger fan. I hope we beat out UW for every recruit but as it stands right now I am being realistic.

He's a nice prospect. Not a great basketball player yet, but he could get there. I wish he had chosen Wisconsin but it wasn't to be. Wisconsin already has a better player committed in the same class.likely to do so
And backer24 is right -- we don't compete with the Badgers or Marquette for recruits, and we are never likely to do so. That's okay. There are different ways to build winning teams, and the differences between "high major" recruits and "mid-major" recruits are nowhere near as significant as uninformed fans tend to believe.

Based on your logic he should have went to Iowa because his dad was a football star there and he grew up following Iowa. I say let the kid make his own decision, he doesn't owe UW athletics anything. J.P also gets to play with one of his best friends and fellow Tarheel recruit Marcus Paige. I follow Duke, so worst of luck to J.P.
