Sorry, Brad Stevens and Matt Howard cancelled the meeting.
Oh well, the better team won. Good luck to Butler. They'll be a tough out for anyone.
Thanks to the Panthers for a great (yet sometimes bumpy) ride this year. Represent in the NIT.

ugly start killed us. Butler started 25-8. The rest of the game was 36-34, UWM.
I said this to the Butler students I congratulated after the game: it was a class move on their part not to rush the court.

I believe someone said they saw Brad Stevens telling their student section in the closing moments not to rush the court.

I believe someone said they saw Brad Stevens telling their student section in the closing moments not to rush the court. Heard that, too. Brad is an exceedingly class act. But we knew that already.

Yes. I saw the WCD people removing the ropes and such. I'm glad they didn't, I think that would have hurt the most.

Butler needs to do everything possible to keep Stevens around.

I'd love to say that I hope someone snatches him up so that Milwaukee doesn't have to deal with his Butler team year after year. However, that's always the situation with the mid-major schools and it would be great to see him buck the trend. It's good for Butler and it's good for the Horizon League.

Watching all the clowns from UIC rush our court and point and insult and taunt us in '04, from the front of the Milwaukee student section, made me angrier than I've ever been at a sporting event in my life. Worse than the Bruce Benedict UIC game years later!

What a great rivalry we have developed with Butler... It is one of mutual respect seems like. There is no consolation here but actually I root for Butler whenever it does not adversely affect the Panthers...Love everything about this program, tradition, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Brad Stevens, Matt Howard academic all american although wish he did not minor in acting, their style of play, class they bring to the conference... Indy basketball... you name it... hope they NEVER leave the HL....I was at the game and did not notice that... what a class move by Brad Stevens...congrats to a great team, school and very classy group.

The truth is, with Butler good, we get more top-50 or top-100 games every year. We need to make our strides elsewhere, not hope Stevens goes elsewhere. You're absolutely right, Damasa.
