It cannot be overstated how huge this game is. Lose and we're in trouble trying to get a home game. Win and we're 8-5 going into a week in Chicago.
We have the opportunity to get to 10 victories in conference. I'm going to put out the hope that we get at least 11-7 in the conference.

I agree... win this one and it would be very hard for us to not get a home game...

We swept Detroit and currently have a 1.5 game lead on them. I really think we will get one home game. The goal should be 4th or better which gives us 2 home games for a chance to get to the Semi's. Unfortunately I don't see that happening because of the hole we dug ourselves. TEAM CONF OVERALL Cleveland State 9-2 20-3 Valparaiso 8-2 16-6 Wright State 7-4 14-9 Butler 6-4 14-8 Milwaukee 7-5 12-11 Green Bay 6-5 12-11 Detroit 5-6 11-12 Loyola (IL) 4-7 13-9 Illinois-Chicago 1-9 6-16 Youngstown State 1-10 7-14

Obviously, that won't be known until we get closer to the end of the season. Our schedules are similar, except we play Green Bay at home, while they play Butler on the road, and Detroit at home. I like our schedule better than theirs and we're only behind them a half game, plus we have the sweep of Butler as a potential tie-breaker. Lots of season left for different scenarios, but I like where we're at in the standings... This GB game is going to be HUGE.

Stranger things have happened. With a win against GB, we would be in real good position to possibly get 2 home games. One thing I've learned from the Packers season is that you never know what's going to happen. There's no point in trying to assume where you're going to be at the end of the regular season. Hell, we're only 1 game out of 3rd place. And none of the top teams in the standings have an easy schedule remaining by any means (UWM included).
This team has the talent to beat anyone in our conference. They've proven that. Beating GB will put us in a great spot heading down to Chicago. Are we going to need a little bit of help? Sure. But as long as we can take care of our own business, I have a feeling everything will work out.

I was thinking that but didn't want to say it because whats done is done. That being said 8-4 would put us in a good spot going down the stretch.

Let me correct what I said above, if we are a 4 seed we would only get one home game as well. The quarterfinals would be played at the #1 seeds gym with the semis to be played the next day and then the finals on the following Tuesday.

Alright cool cause I was wondering if the HLT format had changed or something by reading some of these posts as only the 1st round used to be held at campus sites.

If we did get 4th, we'd be playing well, which is the most important thing of all. More home games the better but no matter what, we want to be on a roll. We want to see the team continue to play well to the end. No more clunkers!!!

Perfectly acceptable goal. 11-7 would be a better conference record than last year.
