That game was eerily normal ... except for the officiating.

So Happy to come away with that win at the end! About time a close one at the end went our way with us coming back!
That moves us to 5th place (Which would be a 1st round home game in HLT) and we now have a chance to claw our way closer to moving up further by beating Wright St.
Going into this game I said we need to take the next 3 and step one is now complete!
Lets go get the next 2 guys!!!

That was a good win. Some sloppy play at times but they showed good fight and came back to pull away and win. Good job. Let's keep it going. They need an effort equal to or better than that to win the next one...

What killed Detroit is what's been killing them all year -- they don't have the bodies. Foul trouble is what did them in. It got to the point that in a situation in which they needed to foul Ray McCallum had to back off and let someone else do it as precious seconds ticked away because he didn't want to foul out of the game.

First off, I just want to say, a VERY GOOD student turnout...Love to see those crowds for the rest of our home games. Second, I brought my best friend from HS to the game, his first UWM game, and he LOVED IT!, And Third, I am still scratching my head over how the refs thought that Allen should be tagged with the foul when he is being elbowed in the noggin...oh well...Win's a win, and I LOVE IT!!!

Kelm is starting to emerge. His last two games have been excellent. His line tonight: 9 points (4-6, 1-2 3PT), 5 rebounds (3 offensive), 11 minutes, and one great hustle play to keep a possession alive. Damn near a point for every minute he was on the floor.
Looking through his numbers, he's actually a hell of an offensive rebounder. Nine times this year he's recorded multiple offensive boards. All the little signs are there that he's going to be an absolute beast at some point.
Our assist numbers were also outstanding tonight. 18 total on 22 field goals. Every starter had an assist and 4 of 5 had at least 2; the only player who logged 10+ minutes and didn't get one was Kelm.

Also of note: Deonte was sitting on the bench tonight, which means he's been reinstated to the team.

Here's what I think: we're capable of losing in the first round of the HL Tourney. We could also win the Tourney. We could make the Tourney final and get blown out by 30. I don't know what the hell is going on here.

This team can be Superman ... or it can be Biff Lohman.
If you had told me before the season began that the Panthers would have already swept Butler and Detroit, I would have said that they were either in first or very close to it.
Instead, they're attempting to climb out of fifth.
Weird, wild stuff.

Panthers with 20 turnovers and a bad game by K.Williams and still comeback to win the game. It helps when Detroit turned it over 21 times. It was good to see K.Williams coming back at the end of the game to make plays for the Panthers to win the game.

And you can't tell me they didn't play a part in helping us crawl back after our scoring droughts. They were there and more importantly they were loud. Great, great job by the students. Now let's see that without ESPN here. Cheers to the AD for the $10 concession survey, it didn't go unnoticed by this season ticket holder. The refereeing wouldn't have been acceptable at a middle school game, let alone here. If I never see that crew officiating NCAA-level action again, it's a victory. The closest thing to consistency was Meier this year and, of course, he was ice cold until the closing minutes. Kaylon's head was elsewhere and I'm hoping it returns to 4th and Kilbourn Sunday afternoon. Tone, Kyle, & Ryan (save for those FTs) had solid games to keep us in it. Ant did a very nice job keeping Holman in check, too. Everyone has their off-games and it was good to see others step up. 21-24 from the stripe. That was crucial. More of that please.

Just a few numbers from last night:
The boxscore on ESPN has the Panthers with 19 -- not 20 -- turnovers.
The Panthers are now 11-3 this season when shooting at least 40 percent from the field.
Milwaukee is now 69-17 in conference home games -- including league tournament contests -- since the start of the 2002-03 season.
The Panthers were 21 of 24 from the free-throw line Friday, their highest mark of the season.

I'd agree regarding the student turnout. I'm sure ESPNU had something to do with that, but great nonetheless! Let's get the Go Black & Gold (to the tune of Go Pack Go) cheer going again, huh?
