Let it be known, if you attempt to wear a RED anything, be prepared to be kicked out of the Milwaukee Student Section!
STRICT DRESS CODE ENFORCED!

I love this thought, but it will not encourage students to come back to future games.

the students need to really bring it tonight. there'll likely be 2500+ to get the team going. arrive early, and show your support. and of course, wear your Panther gold! i'm guessing they'll be giving out shirts so that'll likely help those who are confused as to where they go to school.

I like the DunneDeal's thought too, and I understand your reservations about it pantherdon- I do think though, that at least "Red/White Badger Gear" should not be tolerated in the student section. Call me crazy, but as an undergrad I would have felt mighty out of place wearing anything other than black and gold in the student section- let alone gear from a visiting team! There is a good possibility some guy/gal casual fans will unwittengly just go in their street clothes they wore today that happen to be a red t-shirt, sweatshirt, top, etc. I think they will quickly realize that they shouldn't wear that in the Krazy section (in the future), without anyone having to kick them out. That being said, if anyone (esp. a UWM student!!) tries wearing a Badger shirt in the section, by all means, direct them to the Badger section(s), and explain to them the UW-System transfer rules (after 1-2 semesters at any UW school (maintaining a 2.5 GPA) you can easily transfer to any other UW school- so if Madison is your thing.... by all means, join their ranks!
I hope the chants tonight are loud and clear (maybe, we'll get the entire crowd involved! -hey, I'm all for chanting if the people around me in 200 level are..), and, Wisconsin fans know the wave pretty well.......we could even jingle our keys just before tip-off, or during free throws as kind of a friendly mock of UW football games. Just some rambling thoughts...
Let's go UWM. Tonight we show that we have improved enough not to get beat by 40+ as an earlier prediction suggested on this board! I'll be happy if we get beat by less than 20, but I smell victory just around the corner (maybe that's Central Michigan, but it might be a bad night for the Badgers..., and a great night for UWM!). WE ARE MILWAUKEE.

Again, I love the idea, but explain how you're going to remove a student wearing Badgers gear that has as much right to be there as any UWM student. Remember, this game is probably a sell out. Where are they going to go?
Maybe a better idea would be to show them the error of their ways, and remind them that the next game is Dec. 19th.

Yeah...a gentle reminder.
And maybe a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
How about we give them $1 and thank them for coming?
Even better, apologize to them for having a student section in so much black and gold, thereby making them feel out of place. That will be so harmful for their self esteem. Offer to have the rest of the section quickly put on red and white to make them feel better.
Maybe then we can renamne the section "The Stuart Smallies".
These are COLLEGE STUDENTS. Is it wrong for them to be expected to understand the appropriate nature of colors in the STUDENT SECTION? If they can't figure that out, I weep for the future.

Trust me. They're not going to feel in place. By the thirtieth second of a 1000-person asshole chant pointed their way, they'll feel bad.
We're making them sit in the back. No questions.
I want to be nice, but they knowingly came in support of the bad guys. They can sit in the back.

Look, I hate to sound like a bickering lunatic, but this goes back to a discussion we had on here a long time ago about the complete ridiculousness of UWM Bookstore workers wearing Badger, Duke, Marquette, UWGB (-I saw that one the day before the UWGB game here in Milw. last year- not cool at all), etc. apparell at "the most visible face of Panther Athletic Pride" on campus.... right, like (says a new freshman interested in becoming a Panther-backer) "I should buy UWM gear why again??"- that's like a Culver's cashier sporting a McDonald's hat. The student section is no different.
We'll never build up the mountain of real Panther Pride if we accept "everyone having the right" to not give a hoot about UWM in the student section and in the Bookstore. No school spirit = a pretty weak fan base.
((this is only an anology- but does anyone think that if I went to a badger game, sat in the student section sporting a big maize and gold MICHIGAN sweatshirt, I wouldn't catch any flak?)). It's a no-brainer.

That's cool, I'm all for excommunicating Badger fans. I'm just wondering how it's going to be handled. We really can't afford to lose any potential Panther fans.

Right on- I meant no offense, and I hope (and believe) it will be handled respectfully by Jimmy and the other leaders of the Krazy Bunch. I'm leaving work early to get my will-call tickets at 5:30. Let's hope the team gives the UWM fans (new and old) something they will never soon forget. That, most certainly will encourage them to come back for future games... GO PANTHERS!!!

Pretty sure I saw a healthy group of the Grateful Red in the front of the student section for the entire game..what happened to the removal of them?

The sad thing is that most of them were UWM students that didn't care one bit about the Panthers!! They are Badger wannabes that didn't have the grades to get into Madison!!

I dunno about that. I counted 15 people in red and they were kind of scattered around. The front of the section was solid yellow until you got about five rows up.
