The depth will payoff by the end of the weekend. I don't think there is a program in the country that can boast of 14 guys of such equal ability.

The lack of foul calls is frustrating...

My god Portland can shoot. We weren't playing the greatest D early in the game, but we are now and they are still raking. We need a dead eye shooter. Maybe that kid from Superior is still out there

Bad defense to go with a stupid shot coming out of a timeout, fantastic!

Portland doesn't miss from the foul line.

This Panthers Team has shown no heart, no desire, and is playing like it just does not care whatsoever.
I have not been this embarrassed in this team like this in a long long time.
What a disgrace.

Poor effort by a team that should be ahead schedule of most other teams with the Italy trip.
Hopefully a flat effort like this does not push Shaq to wait until late signing period.

We were not prepared for this game, and at least some of that goes to Rob Jeter. It wasn't any one player or area that killed us. Things need to turn around right now.

The good news is, we don't have to wait long for a shot at redemption.

Just saw a few minutes of the feed. Both shots I saw Tony Meier take were near-air balls. No points for the first seven minutes? Not good.
I'm not going to sound the horns after the first game, but I expect a coherent rotation of nine players by the beginning of conference season. And if there isn't one, that tells me this is a team comprised of a bunch of guys who are no better or worse than their teammates. Good luck with that.

My observation: Portland is a good team and they were hot today. That being said, we didn't play good team basketball for most of the game. Ryan Allen is athletic but seemed nervous at times or something, and I wouldn't mind it if Tony didn't shoot another 3 pointer this year.
We need an athletic shooter we NEED Evan Richard in this lineup.
