I wanted Rob Demovsky take on how much money Jeter makes compared to what a Green Bay coach gets. Dennis Krause didn't ask, but I am.

I'm letting people have low expectations of the Panthers, it will make things much more sweeter when the Panthers exceed those expectations.

I wanted Rob Demovsky take on how much money Jeter makes compared to what a Green Bay coach gets. Dennis Krause didn't ask, but I am. What do you want to know? Why Jeter makes $411,537 and Kowalczyk made/Wardle makes $133,132? It's simple. UWM -- and just about every other HL school -- has resources/commitment that UWGB doesn't. It's why UWGB athletic director Ken Bothof wrote a report to his new chancellor saying the school needed to make a bigger commitment to athletics. (FYI: Bothof about blew a gasket when he found out I had the report). But again, you people think I rah-rah UWGB, right? It's all laid out here: www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20100516/GPG020101/107230013/Ken-Bothof-report-outlines-financial-challenges-for-UW-Green-Bay-athletics

I'm glad you rah-rah, UWGB. We have trash here like Mike Hunt, that rips on teams after the fact.
It sounded like on the TWC Roundtable, that Rob Jeter is an overpaid coach. They had to give Coach Jeter the money after his first seaon after winning in the "Big Dance" UWM didn't want to loose their second coach in two season.

Last season, there were six teams that won 9 to 12 league games (#2 through #7 tourney seeds). I'd expect more of the same this season ... Butler will likely take a step back (small step, hopefully) and both UIC & Loyola have the potential to be better. Sounds like a crazy race!

This is what a message board should be, with an open exchange of opinions.
I hope that rival school fans and beat reporters always feel welcome here.

The only time the TWC Roundtable even bothers to mention UWM when it's portraying something about the university in a negative light, such as the Bruce Pearl news last month...

Last Friday on the TWC Roundtable, Drew Olsen said this is Rob Jeter's deepest team and look out for the Panthers to have a good season.

Whenever Bill Johnson is on the roundtable, which is fairly frequently, they like to discuss UWM with him.

Oops. LOL Ryan.
I love when Demovsky comes on the board. Good to hear from ya. Now to my point with Tone you had a guy who lead the league in minutes and played with a bad back during those last games. Some of those "bad" shots late in the season prolly would have been solid shots had he not been hurt.
Im excited for the season to return....can't wait for the Scrimmage.

This board and Valpo's have become my favorite places to visit. GofD adds a lot to this board (and others) with his knowledge of the league. It should be an exciting year. Until league play starts for real in January, I'll be rooting for all HL teams. Several teams have high aspirations ... maybe this will be the year we get two (or three) teams back to the Big Dance.

Given the athletic department's huge deficit, Jeter's record since his first year and the lack on interest/attendance, Rob Jeter is without question overpaid.
