I didn't say he or the program were slimy, I said the decision to strategically arrange his suspensions so as not to provide a too-overwhelming burden on his team's chances to win the game was a slimy thing to do. I like Buzz Williams, and have expressed my regards for him before on the boards.

Like the dancing after the game, I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

Mountain out of a molehill, unless damning evidence comes to light.
It's up to each program to mete out internal discipline as it sees fit.
Good for Marquette and Buzz. This is clearly a team that can make a deep run.

I think Buzz's dancing was just innocent fun. I believe him when he says he didn't mean to offend anyone. Still, you can expect a harsh reaction in someone else' venue.

This happened well after the game was over. WVU is a bad fan base. The words they use, like I'm going to kill you and I'm going to kick your ass, just speaks to many of the people down there.

I lost all interest in that program when its true nature was revealed last year. They aren't even a fun rival anymore, just another team I don't care about one way or another.

Right...because the reasonable and honorable thing to do is to suspend everyone for the same game so as to hurt your team's chance of winning. Get real.

Let's remember that the suspensions were for breaking "team" rules. These trangressions could have been easily swept under the rug or ignored and not advertised to the media or public at all and no one would have known. So any credit go out in the announcement? Four guys were implicated wiping out the bench. I support a full game suspension, regardless of the impact on a game but........................ Leaving a basketball team only five deep would have been ridiculous and suicidal. What about fouls or an injury?? Would have been better to simply suspend the guys and not play the game, no? Suspend each for a full game, one game at a time per guy?? Has a baseball team ever competed with "only" nine players in the dugout?

Right...because the reasonable and honorable thing to do is to suspend everyone for the same game so as to hurt your team's chance of winning. Yup! Personal conduct before winning, especially in amateur athletics. In other news, Jae Crowder got named Big East Player of the Year www.jsonline.com/sports/goldeneagles/141673303.htmlAll the more incredible that we held him to 9 points on 3-9 shooting. Only Wisconsin and Notre Dame held him to less.

Yup! Personal conduct before winning, especially in amateur athletics. Do you know what team rule the players violated? if not, do not pass judgement on Buzz's handling of the situation.

As I said, there's no way the team rule has anything to do with Buzz staggering suspensions according to preferable personnel models. There's no cohesive argument here.

As I said, there's no way the team rule has anything to do with Buzz staggering suspensions according to preferable personnel models. It has everything to do with it. Are you such a total and complete Marquette hater that you can't see that not all offenses are punished similarly?
