another great pick up for Jeter and his staff. an athletic wing to mix in with the new run and gun offense is going to be great to see. he reminds me a lot of Ryan Allen in terms of athleticism and a little bit on the defensive end as well.

6'4". Big presence out there on the wing. Looked for stats briefly, couldn't really find any. Here is Trinson White's stats. While he averaged just 3.8 ppg on 32% shooting as a freshman, he is an intriguing player because of his defensive length and quickness. I saw him play a couple of times in HS. He was rail skinny, very unselfish offensively, and an effective defender. A true team guy. Green Bay was tracking him for a few years, but hadn't offered.

I believe part of the lack of offer had to do with the change in coaching staffs. White definitely fit Kowalczyk better than Wardle. Indeed, we're not going up against each other on a lot of players anymore. Down to 2-3 per class.

Indeed, we're not going up against each other on a lot of players anymore. Down to 2-3 per class. Part of the lack of offer is because Green Bay doesn't make early offers to JuCo players. We don't offer them until the late period, HS players are the 1st priority. While true that we now compete for fewer players, White was only followed by the Wardle staff and he's not anything close to what Kowalczyk recruits. Kowalczyk didn't recruit defense, he went for offense skill 1st. White has yet to develop his perimeter game as he played post until his senior year in HS. Wardle tracks athletic players with defensive tools, and offers the ones the staff believes will work to develop their offense. They also prefer unselfish offense players, like White. White is an athletic defender with upside, but still needs to add strength and skill. Green Bay 2013 class is full. Part of the reason GB and Milwaukee aren't pursuing as many common players is because Green Bay heavily recruits Chicago. Milwaukee oddly isn't a presence there. The 2 schools will have some recruiting battles coming up, including Neenah's Matt Heldt, a 2015 big man both have offered.

Trinson White just committed, per Mark Miller. So much for the "second-tier Big Sky Conference class."

Laughable. You're showing your lack of knowledge of his recruitment and of Indian Hills basketball...

I don't "run smack." I state facts. Trinson is a player and several of his Indian Hills teammates are, too.

Early signing period starts today and ends next Wednesday. I would expect that some info comes out this week with quotes from Coach Jeter about this class.

From the article...GO UMW! A native of Milwaukee, White played high school ball with Riverside University High School just blocks from Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The 6-foot-5 wing had been recruited by Milwaukee out of high school, but went the junior college route. His biggest benefit is no doubt his defensive abilities, but he can pass out of the post or along the perimeter and is good enough to play the 1, 2 or 3 spots at UMW.
