With BYU, Boise State and TCU (among other solid teams), it'd be a travesty if the winner of that conference didn't get an automatic BCS bid. Especially if the Big Least continues to receive one. That'd just add another degree of humor to the joke that is the fBS postseason.

sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=5517305BYU to leave the Mtn. West and join the West Coast Conf in every sport other than football. West Coast Conf. just got big time better with BYU joining Gonzaga, St.Mary's, San Diego and Portland.

That's stupid. Two traveling trophies out of division? I don't think they'll be able to protect two games.

Oh and BTW - Michigan State has a ridiculously easy conference basketball schedule.

These divisions are football only.

Wisconsin got absolutely shafted here. Alvarez and Bielema have been talking pretty and saying UW got everything they wanted out of this, but the Badgers don't have a single significant rivalry game within their own division. They only play one border game -- with Illinois, a tremendously inconsequential football team. And their long-running war with Iowa, one of the most heated rivalries in the conference, is absent from both the 2011 and 2012 schedules.

FWIW, Jim Delany (spelling?) specifically mentioned Minnesota/Wisconsin as a game that would happen every year. But losing Iowa hurts.

But that leaves Wisconsin (like Ohio State and Michigan) with just one rotating inter-divisional game per season. In addition to Iowa, say goodbye to games with Northwestern, Michigan, and Michigan State. All border games.

Man I love the split house game at Northwestern. Always easy to drive down and get a ticket to that game.
