So dumb. I’m done with college sports. I’ll watch my Panthers and March madness , but gone are the days of turning on football on a Saturday. Maybe I’m old fashioned , but I think all the $ in college sports is ruining it. I’ll stick to watching the pros.

Interesting. This doesn't change my fandom for Saturday, nor it would for anyone who is a fan.

so what? the Big will have 3 6 team divisions? Say West:Washington Oregon USC UCLA, Nebraska Iowa Central: Minnesota Wisconsin' Northwestern Illinois Purdue Indiana East: Michigan, Michigan St, Ohio State, Penn State, Maryland, Rutgers each division winner gets a playoff spot. i could live with that.

Interesting. This doesn't change my fandom for Saturday, nor it would for anyone who is a fan. It’s not the 1 incident for me, it’s the culmination of recent things. NIL (not saying student athletes shouldn’t get paid, but there has to be a better way to do it). Conferences breaking up, rivalries going away. Now we have “student athletes” traveling from coast to coast to play sports, when it’s completely unnecessary and a waste of resources. I’ve just had enough. I’ll watch my team, but would rather turn on Seinfeld than an Oregon vs Rutgers football game. Yeah I’m old. Liked things the way they were.

By the time they're done, I think we're looking at four divisions, with the three you mentioned and a Mountain Division!

i hear you buppie. i remember when there wasnt 50 different bowl games. personally college football would have been a hell of a lot more stable if they had made a large playoff(24 to 32 teams) with auto bids years ago. Texas and Oklahoma don';t leave the big 12 if winning their division gets them in. Ditto Nebraska. Ditto all the various other schools that have switched conferences like its musical chairs. right now it looks like its the Big, SEC, Big 12 and then everyone else as conferences expand just to survive.

I could totally see Utah and Colorado in the Big 10/20 before long.

the BIG is going after Notre dame, as it is the last major independent and fits nicely in their historic footprint. not that history tradition, or anything other than cold hard cash is driving this.

A large playoff wouldn’t have changed anything. These teams didn’t leave for a better shot at a making the national championship. They left because it was way more money.

Can someone tell me why the national media wants the Horizon League to add Chicago State? Seeing a lot of tweets about it since they just signed former five-star twins. Chicago State sucks and has never been good.
