I'm very anxious to see how this TV deal ends up in '12. Iowa State will start averaging $17M?! Are u f'n kidding me?! Texas screwed themselves out of a lot of money. I'll be very intrigued to see how the LSN pans out b/c I doubt they'll have enough programming to keep interest outside of football, baseball and basketball games/previews/recaps. Word is, Fox stepped up with a lucrative offer for the conference that will be a part of that $17M payout, but it will not stop Texas or anyone else from starting their own network...It'll be very interesting to see how it all plays out.

but it will not stop Texas or anyone else from starting their own network.. LOL I know this isn't what you meant, but I immediately thought of the BSN: Baylor Sports Network. I think that channel would have difficulty in Waco.

It's going to be Thursday. Their athletics website is saying that they're holding a press conference on Thursday at 1 p.m. mountain time at Rice-Eccles (that's the football stadium).
Utes are in on Tursday.

This is a great move for Utah, hands down.

Utah accepts Pac-10 offer www.sltrib.com/sports/ci_15318435Forget about national prominence, research history and the championships of other teams, Utah will now make between $13.8 and $15.3 million a year in TV revenue. That's what matters here.

Still think BYU was the far better choice.

Still think BYU was the far better choice. Why on earth would BYU be a better choice?

BYU has practically zero chance of getting into the Pac 10. Never say never but a snowball has a better chance in hell.
